So is it feasable that if we do Kim Possible that we would have time to grab a drink in the area's that we would be in for the mission. Is time very limited on the mission? I understand that your mission doesn't take you to all of the lands. :drinking1

Yes you can do Kim Possible and also grab a drink. You can take as long as you want playing the game

Kim Possible is interactive, walking, listening, and game playing.

Disney strategically walks you into each "land/country" so that you may see shops and beverage stations you did not know existed.

We have played in all of the countries...my favorite is in England. The adventure took us from tea to golf balls...and I still had plenty of time to enjoy my beverage of choice (the coffee from the stand between England and Canada).

:cool2:
Have fun!

I just have to say - I love this thread title :goodvibes. You gave me a good chuckle this morning. Kim Possible and a drink sounds like the perfect combo to me!

One of the things I love about Kim is that she didn't seem to mind one bit if we took a break from our mission to grab a drink - LOL

Just a clarification -- each separate Kim Possible mission takes you into 1 country -- it doesn't walk you through each one. You will have a mission that's in China -- JUST China -- or JUST France, etc. And you do it at your own pace. If you want to stop and grab lunch during the mission, that's up to you and won't disrupt the Kim Possible thing.

What's Kim Possible?

One of the best things to happen to World Showcase in years! It's an interactive game that you can play throughout the countries, using a special communicator (cell phone) you get clues and have to stop the bad guy from ruling the world. Here is a great guide to Kim Possible misisons.

We were just at WDW last week and we created a new game. Kim Possible, Drink Possible. Our kids would attempt to finish a mission before me and my wife could each finish a drink. While we won't win any parenting awards for this, we had a lot of fun. We would only do a couple countries for obvious reasons.

We'll be doing Kim Possible for the first time in Oct. Is there a certain time of day that is best to do it?

When we were there, by noon they were handing out "return time" slips (like Fastpasses) rather than being able to get you into the activity immediately. And considering that the World Showcase doesn't open until 11, that meant that they filled up quickly. I didn't think there was a better time of day -- although some of the activities in the missions would be easier to see when it's light outside.

Definitive Guide to Kim Possible

Although the first mission begins at 11 am when the World Showcase opens, new recruits can join Team Possible as early as 9 am.

What time will my mission begin?
If you sign up right at 9 am, it will be 11 am. Beyond that, it's not possible to say.
Because it's like a FASTPASS system, the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure offers return windows (which shift in 15 minute increments as opposed to 5) and once it assigns a certain number of groups, the return window gets pushed back 15 minutes. For example, the Mission Pass shown above was obtained at 9:53 am (as you can see by the time printed in the lower right corner) on as low day and it's for 11:15 am. It's also reasonable to expect as 11 am approaches and guests begin to head towards the World Showcase, the number of Mission Passes distributed will increase exponentially.

While we won't win any parenting awards for this, we had a lot of fun.

:rotfl::rotfl2:

And seriously, the sight of a tipsy parent, that'll put a person off booze! I saw my mom and her friends MORE than tipsy more than once, and apart from maybe one year in college, I've never had a problem with binge drinking etc, maybe because I see it as a "ew, parents do this" sort of thing. Same goes for other stuff...my mom was a hippie as were her friends...and when I had neighbors in my dorm who would listen to Grateful Dead and do things that Deadheads have a tendency towards doing, it would just bore me to tears. That was SO over for me, LOL.

So by you guys doing that (I just have this image of the kids saying "chug chug chug" though I'm certain they did not do that), if they are ever dared to drink something quickly, they have a strong chance of flashing back to you guys in Epcot, and they will turn it down b/c drinking quickly is such a PARENT thing to do. :upsidedow

We had two drinks over a 20 minute time frame. I wouldn't call that chugging and it didn't make us tipsy. We don't mind having a few drinks but getting drunk in WDW doesn't seem the right thing to do for us. It was just a fun thing for us to do to past the time while they did their mission and still allow us to keep an eye on them.

Never heard of this Kim Possible thing but might just try it if I can convince the wife that hopping around countries is supposed to be fun :)

I like this. But I think I'm going to practice drinking while doing Kim Possible on my next trip. (No kids.) When we return and DD is old enough to read, I'll likely grab a beer and follow her around, dropping hints and telling her all the spoilers she doesn't want to hear. ;-)

You do the "challenges" at your own pace, so you can stop for whatever you want.

You can even spend most of your England challenge inside the Rose & Crown pub. :rolleyes1

Well, it was raining.

But remember if you are going to Kim Bibe that at some point you need to return your Kimmunicator.

Thanks Robo for your link, it gave me a better idea of how the missions progress. Now that I now know that we can drink & play at the same time I really can't wait. I told DH that we were doing something special on one of our Epcot days but wouldn't tell him what... I think he will really enjoy this.

Oh, the Kim Possible thing is so much fun! I had more fun watching the families doing it though ... seeing families interact together and have fun together was so nice ... I kept thinking to myself 'Walt would be proud', because what he wanted was a place for families to spend time together and Kim Possible does just that. I loved seeing the families together! My husband and I aren't ready for kids just yet but it made me think how cool it would be to have a family one day. You guys will have a blast doing the missions, there is so much to do at Disney ! You will have no problem getting a drink and doing a mission at all (there is a Margerita(sp?) stand outside the Mexico pavilion and beer in Germany, and I THINK wine tasting in France... hint hint...) ... you can spend as much or as little time on the missions as you want to. Have fun and take pictures!

This may sound judgmental, but if you had two drinks in front of your children at World Showcase, you need help.

By help, of course, I mean somebody to help watch the kids so you and your wife can complete the circuit!
