I know that the drinking age on the ship and at Castaway Cay is 21. But I was wondering what the age is on other Caribbean islands. We will be on the 7-day Eastern cruise and our youngest will be a 19 (almost 20) when we sail. I just thought that maybe we could buy her a pina colada or something like that on one of the islands since she will be the only one in the party that can't drink on the ship.

I am pretty sure that in St Marten she can drink, not sure what the age is, but no one will question. I think St Thomas is the same as the states, 21. But that does not mean that they enforce it.

Thanks! Maybe I will have to do some more investigation on this. I definitely don't want her breaking the law.

I looked this up once, a while ago. The legal drinking age at all current DCL ports is 18, including the USVI. The only exception would be Key West, which is still Florida.

At the new ports for next summer/fall, the age is 18 on Puerto Rico and 16 on Antigua.

Thanks again! I had just looked it up on the Vistors Wesite for both places and you are right. Both islands have a drinking age of 18. Thanks for the confirmation. Wouldn't want my daughter to get arrested while on the cruise. That could put a damper on the trip.
