Drink gratuity

I didn't think to get a comment card onboard.

I have the guest folio printout in front of me.

Frozone - Liquor - $5.46 ( that's the drink of the day at $4.75 plus .71 for the 15% gratuity)
Next line
Frozone - additional gratuity- .54
This drink came from one off the wandering bar guys.

The next day, my drink of the day was $5.46 from Signals bar. No additional gratuity.


Weird!

Looks like someone rounded up to a full dollar amount -- $6.00. As someone else suggested, I don't just sign the slip but always make sure I've filled in the "final" or "total" charge. They'll do the math if you put a larger value on the Total line and the extra becomes tip. That holds true at land-based restaurants, etc. Any time I sign a charge slip that includes a line for noting the total charge, I fill it in.
