Hi, I know disney has a strick dress code for dining. Do you think there would pose a problem if he wears a dressy button down shirt and dressy shorts to dinner? Trinton of course will be dressy slacks.

Thanks :bitelip:

From what I have read on these boards and in the Passporter book, chino shorts and a polo is appropriate for children. (in all restaurants)
Happy cruising!

It would be fine. As a mother of 2 boys, I know it is harder to find cute dress clothes. This question was asked before my cruise and everyone assured me that it would be fine and since I've been I know it to be true. My boys wore dress shorts and many people said how cute they looked and other boys wore them too.

THANKS ! I've been going crazy trying to decide if i should pack more dressy slacks vs shorts. Either way, he looks Great. My biggest concern is the comfort factor.

Thanks again. You've been a great help :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We are planning our first Disney Cruise Oct 2006. My son will be 8 years old. Are dressy short appropriate for his age or should we pack slacks. By the way, he hates wearing dress slacks and prefers shorts.

We're on the same cruise as you and my 4 year old son will be in shorts and a collared shirt probably two of the four nights. So don't worry, there will be others!

I don't have kids so I can't speak from experience but I would think that there would be no problem with it.
Sounds like he will look very cute :flower:

Formal night he should wear slacks, but he should be fine the other nights. This may start a debate.... about dress code, etc. But the kids look fine in the dressy shorts with nice shirts.

Only time I have heard of them not letting someone into a dining room is at Palo's. The other dinning rooms, you will see people in shorts to people in tuxes...
