Portobello Yact Club at DTD??? I know it's all a matter of individual taste, but.... just what is an appropriate order of dress for this restaurant? Any and all advice is welcome.
For Portabello or any of the comparative eateries, we dress up just a wee bit. (we go to WDW in summer): DH wears a nicer knit shirt with coordinating shorts; Teenage DS and DD wear a nice school outfit (shorts) and I wear a clean pair of walking shorts with a special top and a bit of jewelry. Nothing that can't immediately go into the Parks to enjoy the last of the evening there, but it wouldn't be something we'd ordinarily wear if we were going to be in the parks for the entire day.
When dh & I went in Oct., we wore "casual dressy," (how helpful, lol) I think I had on nice crop pants with a blouse, hubby wore a short sleeve button shirt and chinos. We felt perfectly comfortable -- we saw people in shorts & tshirts, all the way to what appeared to be a bunch of high school kids on their way to a formal -- they were dressed to the nines!
I would say wear something a notch or two above what you might wear to the parks, and you'll feel perfectly comfortable. And YUMM ... you will love the food! It's a great place.
Shorts are perfectly acceptable at Portobello--we always wear shorts when dining there.
You're likely to see just about anything--tho I can't recall ever seeing anyone in a coat/tie!!!
You can wear pretty much anything at Portobello. It's just as casual as most of the other Disney restaurants. some people do dress up a little there, but mostly it's because they're planning on hanging out at PI after dinner. (IMO)
