So, we went to the Disney Store today at our mall to buy Halloween costumes. . . to be honest, I never really go to the Disney Store, so I didn't know what I was getting myself into! Those costumes are SO cute!!! My DD-4 is dressing up as Snow White for Halloween, and my DD-2 will be Minnie Mouse! While I was there, I stocked up on a Cinderella dress to give to DD on her birthday in two weeks, and a Belle costume to give as a Christmas present (writing this RIGHT NOW on our Christmas budget list!) . . . AND, I bought an Aurora dress to surprise DD with on our Disney trip in May, when I plan to take her to the BBB followed by the Perfectly Princess Tea. OK, so I went a little crazy!!

My question is, will the PPT be the only time that I want to put my daughter(s) in costume while at WDW? We'll also be attending Cinderella's breakfast, and at least two meals with Mickey and crew . . . Should I buy DD-2's Minnie costume a size bigger, for example, so it will still fit in May and she can wear it to dinner one night? Or am I really going a little too nuts?

:wizard:

Wow, you really cleaned up! I plan on getting my DD the mulan costume for christmas. She wore her jasmine costume to the parks. She loved the attention she got. I just took her a shorts outfit in a baggie with us. The jasmine costume folds small, so I could change her and stash that in the baggie. I am not sure how the dresses will fit in baggies, but if your DD likes to wear them, let her wear them to the parks. You also could rent a locker by the front of the parks. I never have but I have read alot of people do.

You must really be in the disney spirit after that shopping trip!

One more thing, for surprising your DD with the Aurora dress while at Disney, type/write out a little note for her as if the dress is actually from Aurora. Place the note and dress in the room either overnight or as you leave for the day so that she finds it later. I did this kind of stuff as "tinkerbell gifts" and such. BIG hit.

DD wears her "cheap" princess dresses (that I usually find on sale for about $15) ALL the time. As in, all day, no matter where we go, several days a week!! They're literally pretty much in tatters now -- she only has one that is in OK shape, and even it has a gaping hole under one arm! So, she'll be thrilled to have REAL Disney dresses!

I LOVE the idea of making it a gift the day of the PPT! I'll definitely do that!

I was at Costco today and they had a nice selection of princess dresses for $29.99.
