Hello!

We're going May 30-June 4 at the Cabins in Ft. Wilderness but only going to the parks 4 of those days (park hopper though!) Daughter's first visit and 5th birthday surprise! She and I both feel most comfortable in dresses, always paired with leggings (sometimes longer-short/knee-length stretchy cotton biker shorts). I've done some researching and I think as long as we chose comfortable material, we should be fine! We live in Florida so we're use to the sticky hot humid summers!

Onward to the clothes~

Magic Kingdom:

For our first day at Disney we have breakfast ADR at CRT:

My grandmother is sewing her a princess dress (5 for $5 patterns at my local Joann's through today!!!) with a beautiful cream gold dress, a light mauve pink bodice, and a dusty rose pink floral overlay on the bodice and for the skirt overlay. I will share progress pictures and the finish anyone is interested! I'm planning to let her wear it to CRT and (hopefully, currently have lunch) BOG dinner reservations, but figured it'd be way too much for the park all day... though getting her to take it off may be a challenge, unless it's uncomfortably warm.

I'm hoping to get her to change into this, unless we order it and it's itchy or uncomfortable:

And I'm going to try to create a DIY Fairy Godmother inspired outfit with this dress:

For me: Clothes I already have

:)

Pretty choices but I did notice at least one of the women's dresses needed a crinoline. I wore those back in the 50s and 60s when I was a little girl and I can tell you they itch and are uncomfortable. I'd rethink for all day in an amusement park. I wear sundresses when I go, no leggings or shorts underneath since I go for comfort, just make sure they come to close to my knees and no problems.

Very true! I do have dresses with softer crinolines, so hopefully I can find a comfortable one, and with comfy light leggings may prevent the itchiness. I will keep this in mind though. :)

Thank you everyone!
