during our last trip we brought the kids peter pan dress up things (tink and captain hook) which they put straight on. we then went on snow white to be told by the cm if we went on peter pan we could go through the disabled exit (i dont think they had fast pass) and go staright on as the kids were in dress up for this ride.

has anyone else done this, what are the rules? do both kids need to be in dress up for that ride or just 1 be ok to get us on. does it have to be stuff brought there? does it work with all rides.

thanks x

well hey, that's a good one - wouldn't have thought it would matter where you bought the costumes though!

anyone know the answer? shame mine are beyond the dressing up stage!

Yes this summer we were advised by a cast member as my son and daughter were dressed as Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth (£12.50 from Asda) that they could walk onto Pirates of the carribean through the disabled entrance. We were first ones on the ride at the start of the day! We went on again later. However as I wasnt 100% sure what this meant my daughter dressed up as Snow White and we queued for 40 minutes for Snow White and not a single cast member advised us we didnt have to queue so it may be worth while being cheeky and asking.

PS we bought several £12.50 outfits (Some £8 in the sale) from Asda and everywhere we went people were asking us where we got them from as they wanted one... One French person was so upset it was from England. The Snow White one got looks everywhere and that was £8!!!

I've heard about this before, little girls dressed as Snow White get to do the same on the Snow White ride, it's definately not advertised and just seems to crop up in occasional trip reports. :confused3
From the reports I think it's only applicable to the attraction, a child is dressed up as a character from.

Oh forgot to say my son was dressed as Buzz Lightyear and both him, his sister and my OH got to walk on Buzz (well join the last 5 mins of the queue) several times with the rest of the queue giving him a funny look!!!

Again this was the £12.50 Asda Buzz so I think definately worth it especially when the Buzzz ride always had a 40 minute plus ride time!

Hi,
We too got to go through the disabled access on the Peter Pan ride as a cm told us that as dd was dressed as tinkerbell (got it from the disneystore in the uk) we did not have to queue, they just asked how many of us and let us in.

I've seen this before, it probably can't happen everytime or to everyone who's dressed up but when it does what a lovely sprinkling of pixie dust for the chosen child/children (and their family!! :rotfl2: )

When I'm at Disney I love seeing children dressed up - it just adds to the atmosphere of the place. :wizard:

Thanks for the advice on here everyone - really useful for my trip with the kids next week!

Weve never had this happen do you have to ask?

DDs dressed up as Jasmine, Tinkerbell, Alice and Jessie in the past all of which have themed rides and never been told to walk on.
