Hiya

I'm after people's opinions on this. When I went for my dress fitting this week they said to get the dress steamed the night before cause the dress will still be damp if it is done in the morning and that will mean it will crease more.

I'm using Carolyn Allens the morning of my wedding and I'm thinking I should change the appointment to the night before like they have advised so my dress will be dry in time. Has anyone had a similar problem to this?

TIA

It depends on the fabric of the dress. I've steamed a lot of wedding gowns and yes they get a little wet but not enough to be soaked. The only fabric I would really worry about is tulle becasue water clings to the holes, but even then it should dry once you start moving around. Talk to Carolyn Allens and see what she thinks. I would get the dress steamed the day before just so it's one less thing to worry about the day of the wedding.
