Dress steaming questions

Hello!

I am thinking of booking steaming services from Carolyn Allen's, but I was wondering how long it will take. As well as my bridal gown, we may have three short bridesmaids dresses and a few suits as well. How long did your steaming take? Did you stay in the room the whole time?

yes i did watch her steam my dress. she steamed mine, 2 bridesmaid and a few other suits( maybe 3 04 4). she was there approx 1 hour.

Hey there, yup, its fairly quick.

I had Carolyn Allen's steam & press our dresses/suits the day before and she was done with everything in a little over an hour.

I also had Carolyn Allen, and I recommend them highly. I believe I had Sue that steamed my dress, veil, bridesmaid dresses (4) and flower girl dress... I believe it took her about 2 hours for everything, maybe a little less

I had scheduled her to just steam my dress but we decided my 4 bridesmaids dresses need it last minute so she had no problem doing them as well right in our room. I even think she steamed one of my guest dresses but I can't remember. she was quick under an hour.

Since we shipped our dresses down ahead of time, they steamed them before they brought them over. They brought the steamer for touch ups when they delivered the dresses and tuxedos, but that sped up the process in the room.

I too had CA and I would recomend them. Not sure the name of the lady who came and did my dress. It was just my dress and it took her 30-45 min. She really took her time. My dress had never been steamed. I thought why do it before we leave, its going to be jammed in somewhere on the plane.

How much does Carolyn Allen's charge for steaming?

It depends what fabric your gown is made out of. Some need steamed, some pressed. I think if you look on their site, they have estimates. It's been a while since mine was done.
