Just touching base to see what the actual dress requirment is for men? Is a dressy polo shirt and dockers enough? or do they need to be in dress pants and a blazer? It has been a number of years since we last ate there.

It's not terribly strict...even shorts are OK if they're dress-type dockers/golf/bermuda shorts, and a polo or button down shirt. Basically, no t-shirts or gym/swim type shorts. I don't even bring pants to Disney World - I wear dockers pocketed shorts and a button-down casual shirt with collar to the fine-dining establishments.

I doubt you need to worry about the Signature dress code there.

We saw a guy there just a few years ago wearing a baseball cap backwards, denim cutoffs and a t-shirt--definitely park clothes.

DH typically wears dark jeans with a bowtie and short sleeve sport shirt as park clothes. He sometimes goes there like that although we usually prefer dressier clothes.

We generally go in business wear to TS dinner--a pantsuit or dress for me and 3-piece dark suit with white shirt and bowtie for DH or at least dress slacks, shortsleeve shirt and bowtie.

But, we like a change of clothing type for dinner after a steamy day in "park grubbies." We feel like servers appreciate that we made the effort, have even had a manager stop by our table to ask if we're celebrating something special. No, just showing respect for the nicer restaurants.

The dress codes have been relaxed for all the signature restaurants. It now basically says no swimsuits, you can pretty much wear anything. My DH usually wears dockers or nice shorts & a polo or Disney Hawaiian shirt to resort signatures. We’ve seen jeans, park attire, nicer casual & very rarely someone in a sport coat or suit. We ate at Monsieur Paul in January. My DH had black dockers & a button down shirt, I had black slacks & a dressy top. Only 1 other couple was dressed similarly. Most people were in shorts & park attire, a few other couples with the men in shorts & polos & the women in capris & nice tops. Your DH will be fine in dockers & a polo.

The exception to this is Victoria & Alberts, I’ve never been but I believe they’re the only restaurant that is strict with their dress code.

They're fairly strict comparatively but not as much as their "formal or semi-formal attire" suggests.

We dined there once with a friend who said he never packs a suit jacket, simply borrows one there--which he did, no tie.

I've worn a dressy pantsuit that definitely wasn't semi-formal.

Most people we've seen there wore clothes people used to consider Sunday churchgoing clothes--suits or slacks and jacket for guys, dressy slacks and blouse/jacket or business-wear dress for women.

V&A is the only restaurant you need to worry about dress code. They do enforce it there. I wear nice shorts and usually a nicer casual button down shirt to almost all of the restaurants. Most of the time I feel overdressed compared to what I see around me. I have never felt under-dressed. Lots still wear park attire even when the restaurant isn't in a park. I personally never do that, but some just don't seem to care.

My husband's typical attire for signature restaurants (including Yachtsman) is a golf shirt and nicer jeans or khakis.

I thought you had to wear slacks, a blazer, cravat and one of those Captain's hats?

Can't imagine a single place other than V+A that would turn someone away if you looked semi-presentable.
