Our Viva Italia trip is fast approaching and I have a question regarding dress for those that have already been. In our vacation box we received yesterday with our backpack, it had a couple of information booklets that gave out dress suggestions for dinner. For women, it recommenda a dress/skirt, would it be appropriate to wear a nice capri pants outfits instead? I don't really want to take a dress, as I rarely wear them. It said no formal outfits is needed, just slacks and collared shirts for men, and dresses for women. What are your thoughts? :goodvibes

Thanks!

There are a couple of dinners that are just a bit dressier than the rest.

Khakis and a polo shirts for guys

Capris and a tshirts / blouses for women.

I am not suggesting that this is what you should wear, but more of a guideline as to what I mean by "dressier. Most of the trip is shorts and tshirts type stuff.

You will also have time on your own and might choose to go someplace where a long pants would be considered more approriate.

Please dont misunderstand...this is not a value judgement on what folks should wear...but just what I experienced when I took this tour.

Hi,

I haven't taken the Disney tour, yet, but I have been to Rome and Florence. I had the same experiences as Kevin, in observing what most people (local) wore for an evening out. You may want to pack one simple dress or a skirt, just in case you change your mind. I was fine with a knee length skirt or black slacks, flat shoes and a sweater set. I didn't take jeans or shorts. Of course, once we started shopping, I had to boost my wardrobe with a couple of silk scarves, a cameo, a pair of leather shoes, a purse, some jewelry, etc. :rotfl:

Have a magical trip:goodvibes
