We are taking our first cruise, and we are wondering what the dress codes are for the various restraunts on the ship. We are on the Land and Sea package with three days on the sea. I think the ship will be the wonder.

Thanks:earsboy:

DCL requests no shorts or jeans in the dining rooms (you can wear them to Beach Blanket Buffet without issue).

A jacket is recommended for Palo, and encouraged for Tritons. We chose to dress up on our Tritons night on our four night cruise - probably about 30-40% of the men were in jackets and the women in more "cocktail" type dresses than in Parrot Cay or Animator's Palate - where we saw no one in anything really dressy. Lots of slacks, dockers, golf shirts, camp shirts, sundresses, skirts, etc.

For Parrot and Animators it's casual. Pants, skirts whatever. But they prefer no shorts, but it happens. Tritons is a little dresser. Ladies- dress, skirt or nice pant suit. Men- nice slacks, button down shirt, tie optional and/or jacket. Palos is the adult only resturant and the dress is pretty much the same as Tritons. Now these are for dinner only. At breakfast wear whatever. With the exception of just your swimsuit. Other than that welcome to the boards. I am sure that you will get plenty of help here!

I brought 2 pairs of black pants and used the mix and match tops. I also had a black jacket and used it every night. I was more comfortable in the airconditioning with the jacket on.

DH brought 2 pair of docker type pants (nice ones) and a sport coat, along with a tie or two. Since there are no formal nights on the 3/4 day cruises, we felt comfortably dressed, even at Palo.

Pack a fun type Hawaiian shirt for Parrot Cay. :-)
