What do you wear when going to dinner?
Does anybody really dress up?

Does anybody go back to the hotel and change clothes before dinner?

Disney's regulations about dress code for each restaurant can be found on their own website for each restaurant under Guest Policies. If no guideline is listed, there is none for that restaurant. For example California Grill's page says....
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/contemporary-resort/dining/california-grill/

Dress Code Guidelines:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts. Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.

If we are going to a restaurant in a Park we wear park clothes. We do not necessarily go back and change. Many days we take an afternoon break and if it is hot and humid we might freshen up and change
However we always "dress up" for signature restaurants.
I wear nice capris and sandals and DH and DS wear nice shorts etc

With the exception of the few restaurants with the above posted dress code -- we wear the same thing we wear to the parks. Usually casual wear, shorts and t-shirts for the most part.

The only time we went back to the hotel and changed was when we ate at Yachtsman Steakhouse and even then we certainly didn't get dressed up. We just adhered to the above posted dress code, which IMHO isn't really a dress code. :)

The parks you will be fine in park attire (shorts, tshirts etc). There are a few resort restaurants that do not want cutoffs, tank tops or bathing suits. We usually wear khaki pants and nice top.

Some of the restaurants that have this dress code include: Cal Grill, Citricos, Yachts. St, Flying Fish, Narcoossees, Artist Pt.

I will sometimes go back and change, particularily if I'm feeling sticky, but I usually don't "dress-up". Last year my DH and I left our DS with the rest of our party and dropped them off at Boma while we had a romantic dinner at Spoodles, and I dressed up a little for that (maxi-dress, high-heeled sandals), but that's really dressing for him, not for the restaurant.

I'd pay a little more attention to what I put on if I knew we had a TS meal in our future, but even the signature restaurant's dress code really just means "not sloppy".

We usually go back and freshen up ... then we put on something a little nicer than shorts and a t-shirt.. but not "fancy" clothes... but always comfy shoes becasue we normally stay in the parks after dinner..

Thanks for everybodys help. So if we go to a TS in the park we can just keep on what we have on that day. What about TS in the hotels that aren't signature? Can we keep on our park clothes.

Do you dress up for Cinderella meals?

We are having dinner at both CG and Narcossees and we plan on going back to the room to "clean up" prior to dinner.

Most people wear park clothes to the resort TS, non signature, restaurants.

Most people were in park attire at Cinderella meal when we went.
