I read webmaster Michelle's post regarding dress code and have read many other posts on this board - all of which are extremely helpful. We are first time cruisers with DCL and I am trying to decide if my husband and my father should pack a dress shirt and tie to go with their sport coats for dinner. We are on the four day cruise. I have read that Triton's is a jacket but I am not sure about the tie.

Can they just wear a sports jacket, dress pants and a dress polo shirt?

Thanks so much for all your help - there is nothing better than these boards for information.

Any of our suggestions are acceptable and you will see them all, so it's really more of a question of what suits his personality and comfort level. If he hates ties, leave them at home. A dress shirt or polo, with or w/o a jacket will be fine. I like the jacket look, it's dressy and comfortable.

Jacket and polo on the 4 night is perfect combination for men at Tritons.

I never wore a jacket (didn't even pack one) during our 4 day trip and didn't feel out of place at all. Even in Triton's, people had on everything from suits and ties to polo shirts and khakis.

Be comfortable and enjoy........
