Dress code on wonder4night

Is there a dress code for dinner at night, do we have too go formal? Me,Dh, 2
Dd and Ds will be on board April 2006. What kind of things do you ladys and gentlmen wear to dinner.I may find it difficult to get my teenage Dd out of jeans and t-shirts.

The dress code for the 4-night isn't really any different than the other cruises. It's pretty much "resort casual". We cruised back in Jan. on the 3 night Wonder, and what people mostly wore were sun dresses or khaki pants. I think that Disney really only request that you not wear jeans or shorts in the dining rooms for dinner, although I have read that they have relaxed the dress code a little. Actually here is what DCL currently states on their website:

Dining Dress requirements vary by venue or theme night on your cruise. In general, most meals are "Cruise Casual" — no shorts, swimwear or tank tops. Most cruises also have special theme nights with additional attire requirements. Here's a breakdown of these events by cruise itinerary.

On 4-night cruises:
First night: cruise casual — no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
One "dress-up night" — jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women
Final night: cruise casual — no shorts, swimwear or tank tops

You must be psychic, I have just logged in to ask the very same question as I keep reading conflicting info about this. Some trip reports talk about "dress up night" or "semi formal night", yet other info (Passporter etc) says there isn't one on the 4 night??

By the way we are def booked on the same cruise as you (Apr 23rd). When are you flying out?

Hello. Just got back from the 8/28 4-night cruise.

1st Night: Cruise Casual
2nd Night: Dress-up Night
3rd Night: Tropical or Pirate Attire
4th Night: Cruise Casual

We had the APPT dining rotation so we were in Parrot Cay for dress-up night, so we decided to save our "best" clothes for the 4th night when we were in Triton's. I honestly did not see any jackets/ties in Parrot Cay. I did see a few at the show that evening - but I'll bet those folks were in Triton's or even Palo that night. That was also the only time that I saw a few dressy dresses - but again, not in Parrot Cay. There were 7 of us - 4 adults and 3 daughters. The men wore dockers, button-down short-sleeve shirts or polo shirts and boat shoes or sandals. We women wore capris and peasant skirts. The girls wore skorts, skirts and capris. I did not see any jeans or shorts in any of the dining rooms.

We were on the 4 day this past April and I wore a different sundress each night. I had great luck on the website called keywestfashions.com. They have nice light weight tropical and very casual sundresses. I called them directly and for size info. and they couldn't have been more helpful. Good luck!

I am just curious about this... how would most cruisers know about Pirate/Tropical night? If it weren't for the DIS, I would have no idea.

For those of you who have cruised, were most guests dressed to the theme or just wearing resort casual?

I am worried enough about finding clothes to wear to dinner that will pass the resort casual rule let alone theme nights. I don't own a single "tropical" thing and I am plus sized so finding clothes is not very easy or cheap.

Kelly, guests find out about all the activities, including pirate night, buffets etc. thru the daily navigators that are passed out each night to the staterooms. You get detailed, hour by hour, activities listed in this handout. As far as the casual tropical clothes, try that website I provided above (keywestfashions.com). When you get to the website, scroll down on the left hand side to "cotton print knitwear". That is where I had most of my luck with sundresses and the prices are very reasonable right now. They are a store in Key West and they are great! Call them, they are so nice to talk to and they will help with sizes. I LOVED their sundresses, so comfortable.

We are flying out on the 3rd and staying in a virgin villa for 3 weeks and then finishing off with the cruise.
Ime abit unsure of what too pack for the cruise, I think i will take the usual blk trousers and dressy tops for the evening as i dont wear dresses.
I will proberly bring these clothes from home and buy some trousers here for DH as he only lives in jeans or sports trousers.
I found it hard to buy clothes over there as their fashion seemed abit frumpy, all i could find was alasticated trousers and T shirts.
We kitted all the kids out last time we were there,wasno problem, so i will do the same again.
As we have a washing machine in the villa i will pack again over there for the cruise and leave things in the car we dont need.
Have you been too florida before? if you want any advice just ask be happy too help.

Yes we have been before several times but this is our first cruise. We are travelling out on the 8th and staying a few days onsite (not sure which hotel yet!) and a week in a villa in Indian Creek.

I really want to pack light for this holiday as I always overpack and otherwise I will spend the whole trip packing and unpacking but I also want to make sure we have the right clothes for the Cruise. I am thinking of doing the pirate costumes too but I find the whole dining rotation thing confusing as what if dress up/semi formal night falls on pirate night, do we go as well dressed pirates

You are right Kelly, unless you know someone else who's cruised before you, or found these boards, then you probably wouldn't know about "Pirate Night". To be honest, I wouldn't worry about finding anything too dressy. We just cruised back in January, and I wore khaki pants and a nice shirt. For Tritons I wore a pair of black pants and a nicer top, and that was it. The DH wore khakis and a polo shirt, and then a button up shirt for Tritons. I really wouldn't worry about trying to find tropical clothing!
