Dress Code for Narcoossee's

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll keep pondering, but i really don't want to go back to the resort and change. The whole point in choosing this place after MK was because it was close. Perhaps the bag in the locker is the solution. I'm thinking I won't feel comfortable in park clothes. I appreciate hearing from those of you who have been there.

Shorts, polo and some sneakers. Only place on WDW I would even consider dressing up for is Victoria and Albert's.

The first time we ate at Narcoossee's, I had the whole family dress according to the dress code suggestions. There were about 4 tables dressed in business casual like us. The rest of the diners were in park attire-flip flops, t-shirts, matching family t-shirts, sneakers,e My family wasn't happy that I made them change out of park clothes. Wear what you will wear to the park. Narcoossee's is more casual than other signatures from what I have seen.

Same. We dressed "nicer than park attire"... I had capris, a light sweater, dress shoes, etc. DH and kids had nice shorts, polos. I got SO much crap from them since everyone else was in park t-shirts, athletic shorts, Adidas sandals, etc.

I don't give one flying....truck....what others wear in restaurants but I have learned from this board that there are people who do, so I tried to be conscious of it. I was apparently the only one, ha ha!

We had dinner there the week before last. Although there were quite a few guys in shorts I'm more comfortable there wearing long pants and a polo shirt. If going directly from the park I would probably wear my nicest shorts and a polo shirt.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned skorts. Athleta skorts are comfortable for park touring and signature dining. The soho style resembles a pencil skirt and looks great paired with any type of shirt.

Another option for women is a comfy knit dress or long skirt. Talbots and Target often have casual dresses and skirts that work in the parks and at restaurants.

I love pairing sneakers with skirts and dresses. Chacos sandals also function well.

I was just thinking the same thing. I have a number of skorts that I wear for this very thing. A khaki skort with a black dressy t-shirt (I like scoop over v) and a pair of cute black walking sandals. There are a lot of cute Teva’s, Taos, and Merrell’s out there that are even more comfy than tennis shoes. I love to change back and forth between walking sandals and tennis shoes at WDW.

We’ve eaten at Narcoosee’s a few times and I normally wear what I described above or capris or a sundress with sandals. And DH normally wears either dressy khaki pants or shorts with collared shirt and nice tennis shoes. He has a pair of Merrell tennis shoes that are khaki with black trim. They have a dressy appearance.

We typically plan Narcoossee’s on nights we don’t want to go to a park so we can dress up, but last year we decided to go into MK after. Like you, we didn’t want to be all dressed up walking around the park, but I didn’t want to be in park clothes either for dinner. It was November so I wore my nice jeans, a pretty top with a dressy jacket over it with boots (block heels that I could walk around in), guys both wore nice jeans with polo shirts, one wore a dress jacket over it, and both wore nice sneakers. (We pack extra clothes/shoes when we know we’ll be eating at a nice restaurant.) You could always pack extra clothes or shoes in a backpack and change before you go back to the park if that would make you more comfortable.
