I wanted to do a search on this topic, but could not find search on the new format.

How is the dress on the first night. I thought I read on previous threads that the first night is much more casual and alot of people are in their travel clothes, some men even in shorts. Is this correct?

Thanks.

On our cruise people still dressed for dinner, and the Navigators still asked for "no jeans and shorts." But if your luggage doesn't get to your room, go anyway.

I wouldn't plan for shorts, if you care, you are likely to feel out of place.

Pack an outfit in your carry on luggage. It says "casual" in the navigator. I opted for a skirt and cotton top...think Sunday clothes. DH wore black slacks, gray short sleeved dress shirt and tie (only because we were in Lumiere's). DS wore khakis and a polo. We were all appropriately dressed.

We planned to dress for dinner...however our garment bag was lost until later that evening. I did manage to find my bag down the hall in front of another cabin and wore jeans & a collared black top to dinner that night. It was the dressiest thing that I had and you couldn't tell when I was sitting down. :) Next time I will pack a more casual dress outfit in our carryon since my bags are always the ones that seem to be delayed getting to us.
