Dress Code for California Grill

Dining at CA Grill for the first time in early April - I am concerned about dress code for us and two 19 year old females, particularly footwear. (heading to MK after for late night hours) I don't want to over due it but I don't want to be embarrassed either - all suggestions welcomed!

I don't wear flip-flops in general, but I do wear crocs - and have worn them into California Grill a couple of times when it did not work out to go back and change before dinner.

The official dress code just says 'no tank tops, no cutoffs, no bathing suits,' and so long as you are in nice shorts, or a skirt or slacks or jeans, you'll be fine.

I've worn nice shorts and a sweater, slacks and a blouse, jeans and a sweater, a summery-print dress... never had a problem. I usually wear loafers, but like I said I've ended up in there in crocs too.

It's not necessary to wear hose and heels or anything like that, unless you want to.

You will see a bit of everything here. The only things you cannot wear are torn clothing, bathing suits or clothing with offensive graphics.

Some people will be quite dressy, some will be in park attire, most are somewhere in between. I usually wear casual top, capris, sandals/flip flops.

Actually, given the chaos of that restaurant anymore, being too dressed would make you look silly.

We went with the thinking that this was a true signature restaurant, and since it was a special dinner, dressed for the event.

Boy did we feel stupid. Everyone was in shorts, tanks, sweaty t-shirts, ball caps... screaming kids... it is definitely more like McDonald's than not.

So really. Don't worry about your clothing at all.

Just avoid what Pakey indicates is actually prohibited (with the addition of tank tops on men) and almost anything else is fine. Tennis shoes and sandals included!!
