Uh, I am a tadd bit confused. Is there or isn't there a dress code at CG? I am reading it both ways here on the boards. When we made the ADR's the CM didn't mention anything about a dress code either.

We were just there on Friday night. Yes, there is a requested dress code (how much they enforce it is questionable).

The dress code is business casual... slacks or dress shorts for men, and collared shirts, no jeans or t-shirts. For women, the same... slacks or capris, dress shorts or a skirt with a nice blouse. No flip flops for anyone.

Here is the Official Disney Code:

Dress Attire is Business Casual
Men: Dress slacks, jeans, trousers, or dress shorts, short or long-sleeved shirt with a collar required. Jackets are optional.
Ladies: Jeans, skirts, or dress shorts with blouse or sweater, or a dress required.
Not permitted in dining room: tank tops, swimming suits or swim suit cover ups, t-shirts, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing of any kind.

When we ate there on our last visit everyone seemed very dressed up. I have been reading other threads where people say don't dress up, but I am glad that we definitely did! It only adds to the beautiful atmosphere.

On Disney site it doesn't say any thing about no flip-flops. I planned on wearing a casual dress with flip-flops. Will this be a problem?

I believe the intention is that the footwear match the attire, so nice sandals should be fine, while beach-like flip-flops, the kind you'd typically wear with tank tops or swimming suits, wouldn't be.

Yes, the cheapo thong style flip flops that are oh so fashionable today definately WILL be Ok and I guarantee you'll see many, many other women and girls wearing them.

I was there on Sunday. I was dressed nicely and wearing Flip-flops. They did'nt stop me at the door and tell me we couldn't go in. So I think your fine. Wonderful dinner by the way.

When we were there the majority of people were on the more casual side of the above requirements and we didn't see anyone in more formal/dressy attire.
