When I made my PS, I was told.......no tank tops. Does this include no sleeveless dresses? Are shorts acceptable? I'm trying to figure out what to pack for my trip and what to wear for our first dinner at Cali. Grill. Thanks!

When we went, we were told no tank tops or shorts...

So ... pants and polos for the men... and dresses/skirts/pants/polos for the women.... Sleeveless dresses aren't really "tank" tops, so they are OK! :)

I hope you LOOOOOVE your Cali Grill experience! The fireworks are AWESOME from up on the top of the CR!

When we went, our dh's wore golf shirts and khaki's. Ladies wore slacks and blouse.

For some reason this really makes me laugh -- (I'm easily amused:p ). Every time I've called they've said, "No tank tops" (never heard about the "no shorts") and I always say, "Would my tube top be OK?"

Just so you know -- I wouldn't be caught dead in a tube top!!!!!! Just messin' with them!

I have been there a few times, once in kahkis and nice shirt, once in nice shorts and a polo shirt and once, last minute, at the bar in no so nice shorts and a Disneyland Tshirt. I didn't feel uncomfortable at any time. I think as they say, as long as you aren't wearing a tanktop you will be fine.

I think they mean no undershirt-style tank tops :p I think some of the tank tops that women have are a little more stylish than that... I can't imagine they would say no. I don't think I sleeveless dress is considered a tanktop anyway.

I have never brought pants to WDW. We have eaten at California Grill twice, once nice and pretty and once after 10 hours at the parks.

They're really talking tank-tops for the men (like the Seven Dwarves ones they sell onsite!). Sleeveless tops and dresses for women are fine.

I do like to dress up a little for dinner, but dh likes to wear shorts the whole time. I would prefer him to wear trousers for some venues (CG being one) and I usually persuade him to pack one pair. One reason we have never eaten at V&A's is that he refuses to bring a jacket all the way from the UK for just one meal  .
