We have a lunch reservation at Tchoup Chop and will be coming from the parks so I'd like to know if we can wear shorts and a nice t-shirt or do we have to change.

This is too nice of a place for t-shirt and shorts.
Although they probably would seat you, especially at lunch.
I think their dress code is dress casual....no tank tops.

I've eaten there twice, and though a suit and tie isn't necessary, I would go with a nice shirt and pants/shorts.

But you will love this restaurant. It's great, all the way around.

I agree that they would probably seat you in a t-shirt and shorts, but I would change if I were you.

It is a very nice restaurant and I think it requires dressing up a little.

We were there two weeks ago for dinner - FABULOUS!

Enjoy!

You can wear shorts and a t-shirt. I saw several people dressed as such when we were there. Their dress code only states that gentlemen wear shirts with sleeves, no tank tops or wife beaters. T-shirts and polo shirts are fine with shorts.

Wife beaters:confused: whats that I know what a wife beater is here in the UK::yes:: but assuming it a type of clothing?

Its a joking slang term for the t shirts with the sleeves cut off. I presume it got its name from the stereotype rednecks who kicked their dogs and beat their wives and always wore the tshirts with the sleeves cut off.:D

Thanks for all the opinions. I think since we are going back to the parks afterwards and it is only lunch we'll go in shorts (nice ones, not cut offs) and a polo shirt or dressier t-shirt. When I mentioned "t shirt" I didn't mean the type with pictures or sayings all over it. It's dressier than a casual t-shirt but I call it a t-shirt since it doesn't have a collar. If it was dinnertime I'd definitely go in long pants but I'm sure they'll be people there in shorts since it's mid day.

Dinner, definitely not....lunch really doesn't matter as posted above.
