Hello,

We leave to WDW next week and I had purchased some outfits for adults in our family...and now wondering if they are allowed. I didn't think they were costumes when purchasing, but wondering if Disney will think different?

What do you think? Are these ok to wear? Thank you!

What you bought is considered Disney bounding and is completely acceptable to Disney, what Disney doesnt want is people dressing like a character convincingly enough that other guests might want you to sign autographs or take pictures as that guest. They dont like this as each character goes through rigorous training to sign the name the right way and act a certain way.

Disney bounding aka dressing up in the theme of a character is a very popular tradition at disney even to the point that they sell there own merch to do so. So you will be fine

Our DDs actually bought Star Wars dresses at DW and wore them, so you will be fine. I too agree about the wig - if you were intending to wear it too.

You’ll be fine. Those aren’t costumes. They even sell dresses like that at Disney Springs.

One thing that they don’t allow are full Princess dresses, even during the Holloween Parties.

Disney Bounding is a lot of fun. If you want pictures with particular characters while wearing an outfit, be sure to check the app to see where they happen to be and for what times.

Ariel (mermaid) is in her grotto in Magic Kingdom and in her princess dress at various Princess meals. Eric is at the Trattoria al Forno (breakfast only) with Ariel, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Star Wars characters are at Hollywood Studios.

Yay! thank you for your replies, we're very excited. No, I will not be wearing the wig...
