Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had used Dreams Unlimited lately. My husband is a worry wart, and is concerned about how to contact them other than by email if we needed anything.
They seem helpful, and I like the idea they continue to search for deals while waiting the long wait for an incredible trip.
I would so appreciate any advice. The planning can be so stressful!

We've used Dreams to book all of our DCL vacations. They're just wonderful! All of our questions and requests were answered within just a few hours after we sent them via e-mail. If you need quicker service than that, you can always call them.

They have a 1-800# that you can call after you book your cruise. You can apply payments through this # and I have had to talk to them on occasion. I am sure they prefer e-mail and they have that down to a science. Do not worry, they are great.

Wow, thanks for such a quick reply! You are awesome!
I was a little nervous as I had asked for a check on a different date and have not heard anything. This is unusual as usually it was the same day or the next.
We are hoping for 3 days at WDW and then the 7 day Eastern cruise.
I will keep calmly waiting for my reply.

Thanks,
C

Hi Colleen! Disney's computer systems have been up and down the past few days, including DCL's, and Dreams is working diligently to catch up with requests now that Disney is back up again (knock wood, DCL was down again for a while today too). :)

If you have any questions regarding your request feel free to e-mail webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com for assistance. :)

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the info about the computer systems. Makes sense, and relieves my worries.
I have sent a follow-up email just to let them know again what I was looking for.
I will feel so much better once it is booked in.

Thanks,
Colleen

We just completed the Jan 19 4 day cruise that was a late booking. We went through Dreams Unlimited and had great service, including in room gift because of the # of bookings they had on that cruise. We booked and paid for a Cat 11 room and got upgraded to cat 8. Don't think booking through them was the reason for the upgrade, but Disney must have some mysterious criteria they use to make upgrade decisions and it probably doesn't hurt to be using one of their best booking agents to get selected. This was our 6th disney cruise and first with DU, and the service was best of the six. Have a big family booking ( 8 rooms, 7 kids Plus spouses and 6 grandkids) booked with them for a 7 day cruise in November and can't wait!

I think the number of cruises we have booked through Dreams must be well into the double digits now...we have 7 more in 2003 booking through them and will be starting the 2004 bookings too. I am the type of person who prefers to do my own bookings, but the rebates lured me to try them and the great service has kept me coming back.

izzinmac, Wow, that was good luck. Glad to hear you were chosen for the upgrade. A little pixie dust never hurts a vacation. We also booked through DU and was wondering when did you find out about the upgrade, at the terminal? And also, what did you receive for a cabin gift? Your comments would be appreciated! ;)

We used Dreams for our last November cruise and they were AMAZING!! Misti our agent was the most patient person I have ever met and the rates were great as well. We have started using .com's more and more for travel rates and have had great luck knock on wood. Have used cruise.com and Dreams and I do have to say that Dreams was Wonderful!! The itinerary they make up for you is great as is the fact that Misti our agent was able to call and get us cinderella's castle breakfast (we booked land/sea so we got this perk as part of it if I understand correctly) for us so I didnt have to keep calling and calling and calling!! They were amazing to deal with and we never needed a phone number to call and if we did they did have one you could use but email was so much easier..then I could print it out and take it with me or whatever!!!

Thanks to Dreams and Misti for great service!
Heidi

We got our upgrade within 2-3 days of confirming our reservation. I made the reservations about two weeks before Christmas. As I recall, initially the reservations came back as Cat 11 Guarantee, then we got the upgrade notification from DU, with our room assignment. It was cabin 6000, waaay up front. The room also happened to be a wheelchair access room, so it was much larger than regular rooms, no sofa, one chair and a very large single bathoom, vs the split batrooms. The DU gift was the Disney "Bon Voyage" platter with sparkling cider. chocolat coverd strawberries, and other sweets. It is shown in the booklet that comes with your documents.

We had that same room last year! I LOVED it. The extra width more than made up for the non-compartmented bath! I wouldn't mind it if they gave us the same this year! Very quiet at the end of the hall too!

ColeenP - Don't worry, I know EXACTLY how your husband feels. I am one of those people that can't leave the house without at least one cell phone, have every caller ID, forwarding, messaging package known to man kind.....I had my cell phone back on at 5:00am when we docked at Port Canaveral. My biggest peeve is not being able to pick up a phone, and check on this or that with my Travel Agent. This time, I got quotes from Dreams, and a "regular" agency. Guess who won my business?? Dreams Unlimited, hands down. My agent, Rob, would respond to emails with a speed and efficiency that was (delightfully) surprising! If I fired of 3 short emails, I would get three replies. I cannot tell you what I put that poor man through, what with changing dates faster than I made them, special requests, and the unaviodable "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention" that I always end up writing! Rob was able to sort everything out,(the "other" agency just went into a tailspin, couldn't keep up with the program!) In a nutshell, DON'T worry about not being able to contact them...yes you can't get immediate contact, but other agencies have strict opening and closing hours....dreams doesn't. also VERY important, Dreams provides you with a record of all your correspondance, this is VERY important sometimes. You can request your agent somewhere on the request for info., ask for Rob Lindsay...recomended by the world's worst connection junkie!
