If anyone has booked a vacation w/DU were they able to get you discounts after booking? I know they say they check constantly for deals/discounts and apply them if they can but wanted to know if and what others had gotten in the past?? Thanks for any info!

I always book with them and if there is a discount available they get it for me and change the reservation. I'm going in January and my agent was able to get me an AP rate of $100 a night off AKL Concierge.

That is one of the best parts of using Dreams Unlimited. They check all the codes and discounts that come out, and see if they can be applied to your reservation. I have used Dreams many times, and I do get e-mails when my room rate drops. Love it!:)

I've booked through DU and they have always come through with a discount for us. It's awesome to not have to worry about checking constantly for discounts. That's what DU is for!

Thanks...I booked w/DU several months ago for a trip in Oct. 09 but haven't gotten a single e-mail or discount offer. I'm hoping that will change when the fall deals come out. How close to your trips did you receive offers?

yes they will still give you the discount if you are paid in full. Disney will charge a change fee though if you are paid in full and your price goes down.

Any reputable travel agency that specializes in Disney will give you this type of service

Disney doesn't release promotions too far in advance so I wouldn't expect to see anything for Oct. 09 for quite awhile yet. Keep watching!

We booked our first ever DCL vacation through Dreams Unlimited. So far I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. I recently received an e-mail stating I was getting $200 knocked off the price of our cruise. :thumbsup2 Also their customer service is outstanding!

I contacted DU on Nov 14 and Dec 12 requesting a price quote on the 4/3 deal. I have gotten the standard email acknowledgment but no quote yet.

The second email does have a reservation number. Do I have to keep looking at the DU website to check on the quote or will I get an email stating the quote is ready?

I was concerned because I thought the 4/3 deal only ran through Dec 20 but I now see it will probably go till Jan 24.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I checked my dreams res # and there is a quote there. The quote was good until yesterday!! I then checked the Disney website and their quote was about $150 cheaper. I wonder why.

We had a split ressie so didn't qualify for the discount, but our DU TA did email pretty quickly to let us know in case we wanted to change. We did. We still have a split ressie but it pushed our CBR days out further, and pirate rooms weren't showing on the website as available on our dates. Our TA was still able to do some magic and get us one, though. :cool1:

I have used DU twice. The first time, my resort was sold out for the AP discount. I could have changed resorts to get it, but that would have taken me out of the Epcot resorts area, which was a top priority to me, and my dates weren't flexible. So I stayed with the AAA discount they got me in the first place.

The second time (my trip next month), again my resort was sold out for the AP discount. However this time, my dates were flexible, so I worked with the DU rep to find out when I could get the best deal. My trip is two weeks later than originally booked, but at nearly half the cost, I can't complain. They even rebooked the few ADR's I'd made originally, with no problems. That alone is worth booking through them. :thumbsup2

I think the reason I've had a little more trouble just getting discounts applied is that I really prefer not to change resorts or at least resort areas, once I've made my decision. So where someone might just be interested in the best price at any value or any moderate, I'm looking for a specific resort. Still, they were more than willing to work to try to get what I wanted.

When booking through DU -- do you "own" your reservation? For example, can you go to the Disney website and "see" your reservation? Or, is DU like AAA? I would sure like not worrying if I am getting the best deal! :goodvibes

We used DU for our upcoming trip Feb 09. We had booked several months ago, and when the 4/3 deal came out I got an email from our rep advising that she applied the credit and quoted the savings.

We have used them for the last three vacations and love using them. Very helpful and quick responses to any questions/issues.

No - it is owned by the agent....you can go to their site to pull up your reservation and info but you can't pull it up on the Disney site.
