Dreams Unlimited Travel Stuff...off topic...sorry...

Hello...let me start by apologizing if this is off topic, please move the thread to where it needs to go. Now, let me apologize for being the biggest, craziest, worry wart on the face of the planet!

Here's my dilemma: So I set out, 2 years ago...to plan a fabulous wedding (here at home in MD) and to plan an even more fabulous honeymoon for my future hubby and I...Missions almost accomplished! Sept. 22, we walk down the aisle, and Sept. 24, we depart for our Disneymoon!

Well, I haven't been to Disney since I was about knee high to a grasshoper, and I had no idea how many late nights and cups of coffee I could go through planning this trip, so I enlisted the help of Dreams Unlimited Travel (they've been fantastic)! So, this past week, I made the last deposit for the trip , and it's all paid for now...and now we wait! Until 2 weeks before we leave for all of our travel documents! I'm slightly concerned because we have less than reliable mail carriers in my neighborhood...and because I've got more than a gazillion other things going on between now and 2 weeks before the wedding, that I'd rather not wait that long to see what's in the envelope!

Has anyone else had any dealings with them, or had any issues with not getting their stuff on time...what if this stuff doesn't come, or comes late? What to you do? I've got an e-mail back to our travel agent asking all of these questions, but I have a feeling that I'm going to get a PC answer, and not a real life answer. Also, can someone tell me what's in this uber top secret package that we can't get until 2 weeks before we leave? I'm super excited...but I'm just really worried that something is going to get hung up in the mail somewhere and ruin my honeymoon!

I also used Dreams Unlimited for the first time this trip. I depart August 28th and I received everything on Monday...sent to me by my agent. Included in the packet were luggage tags, a sea raycer coupon, a Planet Hollywood $15 GC, a mini golf coupon, check-in info, can't think what else. Nothing toooooooo exciting. And a couple weeks before receiving this packet, I received all of our ME info. I think you should be fine with Dreams. They seem to be on top of EVERYTHING!

That is interesting as we are also booked through DU and I was told that we would get the Planet Hollywood voucher, sea raycer coupon etc. at checkin

I took a couple of pics so you can see what I got. If you look at the first pic, it tells everything included in the packet with a star next to the items we get at check-in which is the DDP & the photo. Hope this helps~!

I hope mine shows up early enough as I'm headed to Atlanta a few days before I hit the parks.... So far, I've been told up to 2 weeks for my Princesses and Pirates tix. That's gonna push it REAL close....

My DU agent Emailed me back to confirm that they do not send the packet prior to departure for International guests (which, of course, we are) due to the timescales and the likelihood of it not arriving on time. Therefore, we have to collect our stuff at check-in. So that explains that!

It's a shame to miss out on those luggage tags though - they're cute

My DU agent Emailed me back to confirm that they do not send the packet prior to departure for International guests (which, of course, we are) due to the timescales and the likelihood of it not arriving on time. Therefore, we have to collect our stuff at check-in. So that explains that!

Ah, yes. That would make sense for international travelers!

I have used DU for 4 previous trips and I am using them for 2 future trips.. one of them being my wedding trip. I wouldn't trust just anyone to my wedding! LOL

There was one time that I didn't get our documents in the mail, but it didn't cause me any problems at check in.

I don't know what I would do without all of you guys on here! And I don't know why I'm such a psycho person, that I have to worry so much! I'll just sit back and relax and wait for my magic packet to come in the mail, and if it doesn't...well I'm still catching that plane and I'm still going to DISNEY!

I used another TA last year and Disney sends the packet to them first and then the TA will forward it on to you. I know exactly how you feel because I was going crazy waiting for it. I kept sending them an email asking about it. I did get it and in plenty of time. I think it was a month before our trip.
