I am doing the planning and booking for our May 2005 cruise (will be 3 night land/4 night sea)and have gotten a quote from Disney directly and from Dreams Unlimited...the difference was only about $100 savings for booking with Dreams Unlimited. Is this typical? I'm curious to know what others have saved booking with them and if there are other factors other than price that make you choose Dreams Unlimited....any input is appreciated.

I was GREATLY impressed with Dreams response time and their professionalism ::yes:: They were even able to guarentee a specific stateroom I wanted when Disney would not

Thanks for any help and input

MinnieGirl:

When booking our 4 night cruise for late November, I checked DCL, DU, MouseEars, Cruise.com, CostCo and many others (I am EXTREMELY cheap).

Unlike many people on here who have gotten great deals from DU, their price was only lower than DCL by the amount of their "rebate" on the cruise ($50), which was based on package price. My lowest price, personally, came from CostCo, who beat the lowest price I found (cruise.com) by an additional $125, saving me a total of nearly $300 off the DCL price. I booked with no transfers and no insurance (handling both of those separately). You have to ensure that if what you are being quoted includes, or does not include, those options with each agency.

But, that is just my personal experience.

I booked our 3 night through DU and received the $50. rebate. I believe if you book the 7 night, the rebate is $200. ;)

When I booked our next cruise, I checked a bunch of places. Dreams was cheaper than Disney by about $600. It was also cheaper than the other places I checked. However, it was only cheaper than some of them by about $50.

WOW! Tiggeriffic - that's a very nice savings - more of what I was expecting I guess :(

Oh and TiggerKing - we're not cheap - we are just wise spenders ;) Looks like I need to check out CostCo too!

Thanks for the responses....I just wasn't sure what the typical savings was with Dreams.
