I am truly doing a happy dance. There are 9 of us going to Disney in January from the 7th thru the 16th. This is my Christmas gift to my children and grandchildren. Originally, way back when, we were booked at POFQ. When the AP rates came out, I called and the only thing available was ASMo. Only because we could not get an AP rate anywhere else, we switched to ASMo. Well then I read a post on these boards (I read a lot, don't post much) and someone else had gotten an AP rate at POR through DU for January 9th thru the 16th. I sent DU a request and they came through. Not POFQ, but they got me my 9 nights at POR waterview and saved me $1500 off my original quote at POFQ.
I have not told anyone yet, they all think we are still going to ASMo. When we get there, we will pick up our rental cars and I will tell them to just follow me. My husband will be thrilled. He is not a Disney fan, but was not too thrilled with the thought of ASMo because they had no hot tub. I can't wait.
Thank you all for posting your success with DU. I have planned many trips on my own, but I think from now on I will use the DU service.

Isn't it exciting! Think of how cool it will be to stay at a mod! We love POR and are SOOOO thrilled with the AP rate! We had tried and tried earlier to get a discount, so this was unexpected.

Wow, that is great. What a gift to give. Make sure that you surprize them. It will set a fun tone for your vacation. I save $700 off my original ressie at the WL. We used Marls at DU and we could not be any happier.
