:lovestruc:lovestruc Hello!!! We just booked...well, really we had to switch the dates...We were scheduled to cruise this March 13th 2011, but the $$$'s didn't streach as far as we thought they could this year :confused3:lmao: so having an additional year to pay off our balance is very welcomed :thumbsup2This will be our 5th Disney cruise, 1st on the Dream. We have always done the 7 night Magic cruises. We have cruised RCCL and Carnival several times in the past, but am SOOO spoiled by Disney that once we went we never looked back. :cloud9: Here is our info. We booked on Deck 7 connecting cabins right near the aft elevators..our favorite spot :goodvibes cabins 7608 & 7610 as of today it will be me Rebecca 46 DH Earl 46 DD Jennah who will be 15 DD Macy who will be 13 and our twin boys Kasey and Kaleb who will be one month shy of turning 11. :scared1:

We LOVE this Itinerary and have sailed it 6 times in the past. We have already started looking at excursions and are planing on renting ATV's in at least Cabo if not also in PV. On our last cruise meet for the Magic in St Thomas there were 38 of us that all booked together and had a great time. So if anyone else is interested let me know. :flower3: I know my girls will be starting a kids only thread I will post the link once they do. Hope to get to know all of you soon. Big :grouphug:

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

We booked onboard this past week. Loved it so much we have to come back for another trip.

We just made it back this morning and came home tonight. I'm still going through several hundred photos and deciding what to post and what to file away. Whew.

Can't wait to see who else joins us!

HELLO DAVE!!! :cool2:

Can I join ya too?!

I thought last week's MR cruise was as about as close to perfect as a cruise can get. I booked a dummy date on board and today my TA moved it to this one...March 11, 2012....Fiesta time AGAIN on the Wonder.
This is Spring Break week in Texas in 2012.

I kind of would rather do another itinerary...but I did really enjoy the MR and just will choose different excursions this time. :)

I just told my kids a minute ago and they think I'm just joking with them.

Sure, there's room for all.

This really works for us because we don't have to fly. And next time we will hopefully go to Mazatlan. Lots to do there.[/QUOTE]

So far half of my wife's family (She's from Mexico) have expressed an interest in going. Maybe we should call it the Spring 2012 Deportation Cruise. :lmao:

I booked 2 rooms and had Dicecatt down as our Travel Agent. After looking at her cruise pictures, it is obvious she went on a different cruise than we did since she had so much more fun in ports. I'm jealous...so we joined em.

We have done Western and Eastern so many times between DCL and other lines....it will be a nice change to do MR again. Even if it is 2 years in a row. And yes, I agree, I'm hoping really hoping Mazatlan is a added for next year. We really enjoyed Cabo & PV though. In PV we had a outstanding day at an al inclusive resort. In Cabo...one day we had a horse back ride and other went whale watching.

Sounds like you'll have quite the gathering! Awesome!

I also used Dice Cat for this booking. I still also have 1 dummy not used from my old TA. If Galveston comes out for 2012, we will move our remaining dummy to there...assuming the rates are reasonable. If no Galveston, or something that really catches our eye, I'll prob just let the other dummy go. I plan to keep this 2012 MR sailing though.

We booked this cruise when we were on the Dream a couple of weeks ago.

It will be and my 2 girls who will be 11 and 9 next year, hoping to convince my 2 sisters to come too.

Welcome to the party! So much to do, so little time to get it accomplished. 11 months! How will we get everything packed in time.

And I need to start working on the door magnets, and designing a new graphic, etc. Oh de.de.dear.

Very Funny!!! Call me a DCL Addict, but we did go ahead and book Thanksgiving 2012 out of Galveston this morning...the first morning of bookings. . That will be awesome if we are blessed enough to sail twice in 291. We are sailing in a 11a both sailings in order to be able to swing it.

Balance due December 27, 2011

I WONDER (Ha, Ha, Geeky Word Play) when we'll be getting more cruisers to THIS March 2012 Sailing. I know it is still really early but surprised it it so quiet here. Wonder if they'll have Kids Sail Free again in 2012.

Well we just switched over to this cruise last week. I was originally booked on the Dream the same week. We had a cat 6A booked with a huge verandah. Well turns out my wife got pregnant and we are expecting our 3rd child in November. We waffled around a bit on what to do but we decided to go on the cruise anyway. I originally booked the 6A in Jan for just over 3k for four people. Well when I tried to add the baby we couldn't all fit in the 6A. The problem is that cruise is sold out so they found us connecting 5B's. The problem is they would honor our original booking rate for the first 5B but the connecting 5B would be at the current pricing. Well needless to say to add the baby to that cruise would have been an extra 3k.

So we moved over to the Wonder. I am currently booked in connecting 10C's. I am not sure how we'll like having the inside rooms. Especially since we'll probably be in there a lot when the baby is napping. This cruise was only 500 more for the connecting rooms than our original Dream booking and that is with another person. So it would have been the same for a 5 day but now we are on a 7 day for the same price.

Anyway enough of my booking woes we are also Texans and were thinking about taking a Galveston cruise but they were WAY to expensive for us with 5 people. So we'll stick to this and I'll keep shopping. I don't want to take my oldest out of school. She is currently in the 1st grade and unfortunately has some serious asthma issues so she tends to miss school because of that. We just can't justify taking her out more than she already is.

So we'll be 5. Me, my wife, DD8, DD3, and NB. I am very excited about this cruise. This will be our first cruise ever. This will be my 3rd cruise booking though. Stuff just always comes up and this time we are going to try to stick to it. The first time we were booked for my wife and I to have a couples vacation on RCCI out of Galveston but I found out my work was sending me to Switzerland, London, and Germany for 10 days so my wife went with me there instead and we cancelled the cruise. The second booking was on the dream. I am hoping we can stick with this one :)

Any thoughts on how to do the airport to port thing? I would really like to get there a day early. This would allow me to get my In-N-Out fix. Plus we would like to go to a store and get some baby necessities so we don't have to fly them out with us. Any thoughts on the best way to do this? Since the Wonder leaves on Sunday I can't seem to find a rental location near the port that is actually open on that day for me to return the car. I am guessing we could stay near the Airport (I am guessing our cheapest flight options will be into LAX), rent a car for a day, go shopping drop the car back off at the airport and catch a shuttle from the airport to the port. Any other options people know of?

Welcome UmmGood! Hope this cruise booking 'sticks' for ya! Glad to have some fellow Texans! My DD will be 12 and Son 7. I sailed when the 7 year old was only 5 months old on the Disney Wonder so I've been through what you'll be going through. It was tough honestly...much different cruise then if he'd not come or we'd waited until he was older...but Flounders was great and I just spent a lot of time in the cabin due to Baby's needs and schedule. Loved just spending time with my new little treasure. COngrats. If I can give any helpful advice or hints will be glad to. We went to MR on Wonder in March 2011 (last month) so I guess we are Pro's right :goodvibes

W sailed out of LAX, took a town car to San Pedro (You are right, rentals are tricky due to the Sunday departure) and stayed at the Doubletree San Pedro which was a very nice hotel.

Thanks for the response :)

We hope it sticks too. We know cruising with the baby will be tough but we are looking at it as more of a vacation for our other two kids. This way they have stuff they can do to keep them occupied that doesn't require as much from us. We can relax a bit more. I don't think we'll even plan on getting off the ship for the most part. We'll just keep everything open. Would you think it would be doable for us to do a Palo and Spa reservation or would that be difficult as well? I am excited someone on our cruise has been through what we'll go through. I might have lots of questions for you :)

We might try to fly in the Friday before and rent a car and stay close to the airport. Then I'll turn in the car super early on Sunday and we can use a towncar to get to the port Sunday morning. I really don't want to go to Cali and not get me some In-N-Out. (Maybe I'll loosen on this requirement if I can get up to Dallas enough to eat there once they open.) We also will want to make a grocery store run before we get on the boat.

For the town car how many did you have and how much luggage? I am thinking we'll need a 15 passenger van the way my wife packs.

Hello everyone! We'll be joining you on this cruise too. It'll be myself, Diana 44, BF Sean 46, DD Sierra 10, BF DS Levi 5, and BF DD Emily 4. We booked onboard the Pacific Coast Cruise repositioning cruise to Vancouver last week. This was our first Disney cruise and it was awesome! We've cruised before, but Disney does everything top notch! I'm hooked and can see us going on our yearly Disney cruises. :goodvibes We'll be in adjoining cat 10B cabins (2079 & 2081).

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone prior to the the cruise.

Hi UmmGooD,

I want to recommend a shuttle company in case you decide to go that route. We used them to get to the port from LAX last week. The name of the company is Sav-onshuttle. It's a small company that provides excellent service. :cool1:

We were getting our luggage and the driver (who happened to be the owner, John) called me to let us know where to meet him. He's very punctual, provides great customer service, has a great sense of humor. His service was definately worth the price. We were charged $45 (for 2 people which wasn't outrageous but some shuttle companies charge $16 pp, so $32 one way for 2.) for a shared van with one way service to the Port in San Pedro. I thought we'd be driving around, waiting for other customers' flights to come in (which has been our experience in the past), and taking an hour or two to get to our destination, but I was wrong. We went straight from the airport to the Port and were there in about 20 minutes after we got into the van. I found him on Yelp. His company was the one with the highest ratings and I can see why. Hope you give him your business if you decide thats the way you want to go.

Thanks Diana!

I'll definitely check into that. I am leaning towards staying near LAX for 2 nights and then returning the car and use a shuttle to get to the port. So I might be calling him :)

Oh and I saw you are in Manteca. I grew up in Lodi and my grandma lived in Manteca until I went to college. My dad was born and raised in Manteca. So I have spent many days in that town.

Booked this while on board the wonder to Alaska - wasn't sure if I was going to keep it, but the price is so darn good and it allows me to add a couple days in Disneyland - and its on our spring break. I can't 'not' do this cruise! lol.
It will be myself and my 15 yr old daughter.

We will also be on the Wonder on Mar 11, 2012. This is my family's second cruise. My family is myself (DW), DH, DS (15 almost sixteen on cruise), DS 13, and DD 9. We are from Iowa. We have never been to Disneyland so we will spend 2 two there prior to the cruise. We look forward to getting to know everyone.

Just back from 5 days on the Dream and booked this cruise for our Spring Break. Can't wait to try out the Wonder. It will be our 3rd cruise, with only the Fantasy left to try. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone in the next 8 months or so before we leave. We will be doing 3 days at Disneyland prior to the cruise, so we will be ready for some relaxing on the sea.
