do they only give the dream fastpasses to families with kids? I swear to God, they were giving them out to everyone but myself, mom and brother. We're all adults.

it is apparently a random giveaway, they get the time and place in their ear piece and if you happen to be there, you're in luck. that being said, i guess the message could be "next FAMILY WITH KIDS at said time and place".
i wonder about it myself. I was at WDW 4 times this year alone and 3 times the prior year and not a single dream, not even a fast pass. Just not in the right place at the right time i guess.:confused3

DH and I got them when riding Dinosaur in April of 2007.

My mom, dad and son got them while exiting Soarin in October 2007 (we were waiting on a baby swap so missed out)

Our whole family got them while going on Buzz (loading) in March 2008.

They don't distinguish between families or solo travelers. If you're in the right que at the right them then you get them.

We got them 9-26 on TofT at DHS. There were several people in the room who didn't have kids.

No distinction whatsoever. Purely random. I have no kids and have won Dream FPs three times simply by being in the right place at the right time.

In 3 trips over 2 years (twice to WDW, once to DL) never did recieve a dream ... <sigh>

We won dream fast passes at DL 3 times. Twice it was on the exit walkway from Splash Mountain. Everyone who exited the ride received one, no matter their age, until they were all gone. Once it was at Ariel's Grotto before it opened. They were also given to everyone who walked in there (granted most adults only parties wouldn't go and see if Ariel was in or not).

It wouldn't be right if they only gave it to families with kids, but I dont think that's what they do. Actually, they're not great if you have little kids, since many of the FP rides have height requirements.

DH and I got them once at Disneyland and once at DHS. We have no kids so i guess you have to be at the right place at thr right time.

It must be completely random because it is like a lottery subject to rules. The family in the Dino behind us won the Cinderella Castle Suite... why oh why didn't we walk to the next dino??
