Okay, here's the mission. I'm looking for some suggestions of places in parks or resorts that are on your Top 5(+) list of must eat table service restautrants.

DH & I are going to WDW in May for our 20th anniversary. I'm in charge of ADRs and since it will just be us two we can eat whatever and where ever we want.

Places to please NOT reccommend - we have BTDT, want something new.
Cinderella's Table
Liberty Tree
Crystal Palace
Tony's
50's PrimeTime
Brown Derby
Hollywood and Vine (??? the buffet right by 50's)
Sci-Fi drive in
Le Cellier
Chefs de France
Restaurant Marrakesh
Rose and Crown
Tusker House (breakfast & dinner)
Fulton's Crabhouse
Rain Forest Cafe
Captian Jack's
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)

We are trying to get ADR at V&A's in some fashion - Queen Victoria's Room, Chef's Table or just V&As....so, no need to mention those.

Please share your dream line up of table dining popcorn::

AAaaaah - I have thought of this often; because I plan on going all out when I retire in 2025. Of course, who knows what is going to be open at that time, but a girl can dream!

I would have to say Victoria and Albert's would definately top my list of dream meals, followed by Artist Point and Cali Grill (I have only been there for dessert).

Four and five would be Bistro de Paris and Narcoossee's.

Can only hope some of them are still around then!:lmao:

1. Bistro de Paris
2. bluezoo
3. Il Mulino
4. Flying Fish
5. Citricos (tied with Jiko)
5. Jiko (tied with Citricos)

V&A is quite a bit above any of these though.

My Suggestions:

1. Ohana
2. Cape May Cafe

--both of these should be dinners! Ohana's dinner is absolutely amazing!! :cloud9:

have fun :)

Our suggestions:

1) Flying Fish (on our top 5 all time, anyplace list)
2) Shula's Steakhouse (best steak at WDW)
3) Victoria & Albert's (5 star rated)
4) San Angel Inn (we know some folks have panned it, but we think it is one of the best all-round dining experiences in the World...true authentic Mexican cuisine)
5a) California Grill (unparalleled views of the MK)
5b) Bistro de Paris (top notch French cuisine)

first off, Happy Anniversary and congrats on a remarkable milestone!

1. Jiko
2. Artist Point
3. Teppan Edo (while the first two have a nice, quiet ambience; TE is a fun hibachi experience)

Here is a list for my husband and I to try when the children are old enough:
1. California Grill
2. Artist Point
3. Citricos
4. Jiko
5. Shula's
6. Kimonos
7. Narcoossee's

We have not been to any of these, but would surely try them. I know these places have children's menus, but I would prefer to go when my children are a lot older.

However, I can suggest the following that are not on your list:
Teppan Edo
Tokyo Dining
Blue Zoo
Flying Fish

first off, Happy Anniversary and congrats on a remarkable milestone!
:lovestrucawww thanks. With my hubby, it wasn't hard!:cloud9:

1. Jiko
2. Artist Point
I've seen quite a few votes for Jiko. I'm checking into getting the Lunch with an Imagineer at Artist Point right now! I love my TA! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the ideas.

California Grill
Jiko's
Narcoosee's
Tutto Italia

I've read alot of good reviews of Flying Fish but I've never eaten there

V&A - definitely. Know you said you are going, but just making sure. :) We went for our 6th anniversary and it was wonderful.

Others in no particular order:
Bistro de Paris
California Grill
Kona Cafe - for breakfast/brunch; it's our new last day tradition
Narcoossee's
Citrico's
Artist Point

Wow! I'm seeing some clear leaders. In case y'all are interested.

I have this posted on two threads. Between the two threads here are the top winners so far...

Restaurant - Votes

Jiko - 8

All other mentioned restaurants came in 3 votes or under.

Keep the ideas coming folks! popcorn:: I'd like to see the top dog winner! :woohoo:

I really appreciate y'all's help, this is helping DH and I whittle down the choices!

Here are my top 5 must do places for dinner only

Flying Fish
Citricos
Wave
BlueZoo
Il Mulino

Going to Kona and FF this weekend both are favorites.Wave is a new fave as is Artist Point.
Bistro de Paris is awesome and a treat just under Vand A

My top 5 would be

1. Victoria & Albert's (but as you didn't ask for that I'll give you 5 others)

1. California Grill
2. Flying Fish
3. Jiko
4. Artist Point
5. The Wave

At these restaurants my favorite items are:

California Grill
- Shrimp Tempura Roll - tempura shrimp, watermelon, mango and rice rolled in soy paper and served with a ginger orange sauce. (Not on the menu, must be requested, $20)
- Spicy Kazan Roll - tuna, crab, shrimp and rice, rolled inside out in nori and topped with fireball sauce, bay scallops, tobiko and tempura crunch (my god I want one of these right now lol)
- Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli - an herbed goat cheese filling in tender pasta served with tomato broth, shiitake mushrooms and a pesto
- Oak grilled Pork Tenderloin with goat cheese polenta, button mushrooms and zinfandel glaze - signature dish of the restaurant, to die for!
- Valhrona Chocolate Cake - a molten chocolate cake with seasonal ice cream. I have seen it with strawberry, cherry, peanut butter, blood orange, coffee, vanilla and most recently salted caramel and roasted pineapple (YUM!)

Flying Fish
- Jonah Crab Cake - this was easily the best crab cake I've ever had, crispy on the outside, no "filler" taste and a nice spicy, creamy sauce.
- Potato Wrapped Snapper with Red Wine Reduction and Creamed Leeks - I am not a fish person but I adored this dish. It was hearty and earthy. The fish had a very firm texture and no "fishy" taste, slightly sweet which was nicely balanced by the crunch of the potato and the tang of the red wine sauce.
- White Chocolate Creme Brulee - Heaven in a dish, topped with sugar! This was divine. It was the perfect custard consistency with a subtle white chocolate flavor and a nice thick sugar crust.

Jiko
- Seared Ostrich Filet - this was an unexpected hit for us. I would describe it as a cross between duck and beef. It is served medium rare because any more than that and it would be tough. It was lovely and perfect to share for a few bites each.
- BBQ Chicken Flatbread - this is one of my favotite items. A kenyan coffee bbq sauce tops grilled chicken ona crispy flatbread. This is paired with slivers of apple and onion to add texture and contrast in flavor.
- Cheese Platter - we love cheese and are very adventerous with it. We have found that Jiko has the best cheese platters (outside of V&A). Some of our favorite cheeses have been discovered at Jiko.
- Filet with Mac & Cheese - While it isn't remotely african, this dish is a knockout. It is a lovely piece of meat and perfectly paired with a rich sauce and sharp cheesey pasta.

Artist Point
- Cedar Plank Salmon - This is the signature dish of the restaurant and is well worth trying. I am not a salmon person and I loved this!
- Maytag Mac & Cheese - served as a side this is wonderfully creamy mac and cheese with a perfect crust

The Wave
- Cinnamon Rubbed Pork - sweet and spicy, melt in your mouth tender
- Chicken Pot Pie - not your traditional double crust cream based pie, instead a thin puff pastry wafer tops chicken that was braised in a thyme cream broth with root vegetables

Enjoy! :thumbsup2
