I am planning a short cruise for my DD's 21st Birthday. The same weekend there are 2- 3 day cruises from Cape Canaveral, one is on the Wonder Thurs, -sun and the other is Dream Fri-mon. I have only been on the wonder 12 years ago. Never been on the Dream. Is one significantly different/better than the other?
Thank you.

We have done them both and enjoy both. We are doing the wonder next week and find the classic ships a little less crowded feeling but the dream offers some great things too.

I don’t think you will go wrong either way.

I've been on all the ships and the Wonder more than any other. Not considering any other things (destination, cost for the cruise, flights, hotels and rental/uber) I would recommend going on the Dream just to try out another ship.

What do you enjoy doing on a cruise?

If entertainment/dining your focus, then compare the restaurants and main shows. We loved the Frozen show on the Wonder, but the Dream has Beauty and the Beast (we went on the Dream before they changed that). The Wonder has Tiana's restaurant with live music, the Dream does not have a restaurant with live music.

Sounds like you're cruising with all adults. For adults, the Dream has two adults-only restaurants (vs. only Palo on the Wonder), and a larger adults-only pool/sun deck.

We loved both ships, for different reasons, and don't feel like one is better than the other, just .... different.

I personally would choose the newer ship if you've already done the wonder. That way you have experienced both.

Tried both. Much more to do on the Dream. I loved the Wonder but the Dream is my favorite out of the two.

What would your DD like? Since it is a short cruise, I'd probably decide what I'd prefer for shows, restaurants, and activities. For shows, would she prefer to see "Frozen" and "Dreams" on the Wonder or "Beauty and the Beast" and "Believe" on the Dream. They both have "Golden Mickeys". If she would like to go to Tiana's Place MDR with live jazz music/Tiana/Louis--that is only on the Wonder. If you'd like to do Mini Golf and the Midship Detective Agency game--that's only on the Dream. The Wonder has been completely redone in 2016--so it would be like a new ship for you. Would she like to do the Aquaduck (raft waterslide)--that is on the Dream. The Wonder has the Twist and Spout which is a regular waterslide. Lots to decide.

Just a side note: the adult section wasn't refurbished when I went in April 2017. Maybe it's been redone since but it was in bad shape when we were there 11 months ago. The rest of the ship looked great though.

We prefer the smaller ships so I would pick the Wonder, but they are both great! Is there a big cost difference?

We have done 3 nights on both. You can't go wrong. Dream is fun, has alot to do. Wonder is quieter and more intimate, to me. Guess it depends on what you like and how you would like to spend your time. Seriously you can't make a wrong choice here. LOL Enjoy!

I like the set up of the adult pool area on the older ships better but I like the adult clubs better on the new ships. So my recommendation depends on whether your daughter is a night person or a pool person.
