Dream: May 22, 2011

Dang you! I could have landed an earlier flight, BUT It would have almost doubled our money, and cut our layover to less than an hour, and frankly, I dont like risking that short of a time when the kiddo is flying with me. IF it was just me, I would chance it and Run my fat behind gate to gate!

You are flying SWA....are U - not?? The sale [out of MDW-4-me], lasts till 11:59 pm 2-nite........why don't U check and see if your flight prices came down any.

Dang we think alike! I was just checking on SWA, and our flights are currently $20 MORE than we paid for the same flights, and still not worth changing our flights as there is no real savings or getting in early..... I might actually look at flying out of GEG late on the 20th, to see if we can land at MCO earlier in the day....... GAH there is SO MUCH! SOMEONE somewhere is going to have to compile a list of phone numbers so we can let someone know when we land!

Hey Don, as long as you and Kathy get there safely, that's all that matters!
I might be a nice girl and get some of those hush puppies to go(no angel dust - right), just for you.:goodvibes

Naomi, when it gets closer, I'll pm my cell number to you.

So is anyone getting the "packing urge"? I've got my list started, and may throw some of my regular traveling stuff into the bag that I "take along with me no matter where I go, that has all the useful stuff that you might need but usually never do". Can't help it, it's my little obsessive thing.;)

GAH! Flights didnt come down ANY, BUT I can get a 7pm landing in MCO for an extra 26 bucks for the three tickets im responsible for, of course all the extra money is in the savings account that has NO DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD, and of COURSE its far enough away that I cant easily get to it! Just my luck...... Waiting on Ashley to call me back and see if we can spank one of her cards for it!

Edited to add: The reason I didnt see the 7 pm flight before? Yeah, its got an extra stop, but single plane change.......

:cool1: HI P. I. ..........and where have you been???? The bad: will not be coming east to pick you , Jim, & IRONMAN up. The good: the airplane tic's came down , [saving $120.00 one way], so we are flying................I just need a good " PAT-DOWN"...........ask JIM. :lmao:

Great deal. I should check ours. I bought them day one. Yes, I'm the idiot that woke up every hour on the hour from midnight til 6:00 when they finally opened up bookings. I think we got a good deal. $261.10 per person. Looks like they're $20 more per ticket now. I'll be drinking that $60 away somewhere on the Dream for sure. Pink...Meridian.... decisions decisions :lmao:

hey everybody, i am getting my FE projects underway. one of the things has a mongram on it. if everyone doesnt mind, please send me a private message, or post here if you want, with the people in your partys first or last initial.

SAW, WWW and DEW. Yes, my DH is really www :rotfl:

Ahhhhhhh is it May yet? Looks like the first short cruise is tomorrow already.

SUCCESSSSSSSS! Fat girl happy dance! :cool1::cool1::cool1:
We now arrive in MCO at 7pm! Nobody has to wait up till an obnoxiously late time to make sure I get there! WHOOOHOOOO!!! Granted we leave spokane at 6:55am Pacific time (7:55am "home time") and will land at 7pm Eastern Time!

You will have to ask KATHY,we have got, I want to say 650 miles on it since Nov 26th and I have drove it .....maybe 40 of those miles. It's hers......I love my Monte Carlo........so sorry GM stopped making them.
I'm a chevy man myself. We just rented an Impala for our drive to the "World" on Monday. Ironman starts his College Program on the 12th and we're hoping to sneek in a visit to see our 'dream' on the 14th. Can't wait!!!

We might have 2 additional guests joining us for the Double Deuce. Already have ajoining cabins and this means we'll have a "double" balcony. Can't wait!!!

Since Ironman finishes the program right before the cruise we'll be driving in order to pick up all his stuff. Should arrive at the port on the afternoon/evening of the 21st, so we are in for the CI&S pool/kareoake practice party. Can't wait!!!

YAY the party is still on! It just wont HAVE to run so late! LOL Now I know we can actually GET there, and relax, and possibly sleep that night!

:woohoo:: Sounds like things are coming together nicely for everyone!!! Glad to hear it...:woohoo:

My Don is a chevy man also. Our last 2 "main" cars have been Impalas and we love them. They handle so well and get great gas mileage on trips - 32-33mpg. Hope you're happy with the one you rented Jim.

Thank you for the FE list!!

I know a few of us mentioned doing BTB's and was wondering who, if anyone, was still planning BTB's with the 22 & 26 cruises. I'm working on ideas for our FE and wanted to make sure and get something different for those doing a BTB.

Sounds like several of us will be at CI&S before the cruise. We are counting down the days!!!

Sorry, I wanted to reply, but got all caught up in the Dream's arrival and forgot.

If you're going to be at CI&S on the 21st you should definately come out to the pool area and join our cruise meet that night. Should be a fun time.

Hope to see you there,
Jim

The Impala seems like the best combo for comfort and economy for a 2000mi rnd trip. Std size just won't cut it for the ride. The other option was my pick up @ 12mpg. Slurp!

Stands for Country Inn & Suites. There is one within close proximity to the port. Some of us are already booked there for May 21st, so we're going to have a little meet & greet on Sat. night at the pool. Husurdady might even serenade us with some karaoke!!!

Check it out soon, because they might sell out! They offer "park & cruise" packages if you have a vehicle. Then you can take their shuttle to port.

we will be driving. not too far for us. got a question. park and cruise --- does that mean we can leave our car parked there instead of at the cruise terminal???

Yes, you leave the car at CI&S for the cruise, and take the shuttle from the port to pick it up. We will most likely set this up on one of our rooms.

I have a question for all of you experienced cruisers :goodvibes

My group is looking at flying in the day before and staying at the CI&S near the port (that many of you recommended). We don't really want to rent a car (but will if it's neccessary.) - Is it possible to take the DCL Ground Transfer to the port on Saturday and then grab a taxi to the hotel? I'm just wondering if our ground transfer has to be on the day of our cruise.

we made our reservations at CS&I. I will be the one at the kiddie pool while my husband and daughter in the big persons pool, (cant swim very well, hope the ship stays afloat lol ).
