Anyone else going on this cruise? This will be our first land and sea vacation. It will be Me (54), DD (30), DSiL (33), DGS (9), & DGS (4). This will be our second cruise, but our first time on the Dream! Our first cruise was on the Magic. We loved it! We are a little concerned about how crowded it might be on the bigger ship, but are looking forward to the Aquaduck.

Hi I am Lori. DH and DDs 6 and 11 (will be 8 and 12 for cruise) will be going. This will be our 4th Disney cruise and the Dream is the only ship we haven't been on yet. So excited already. Of course I am a Disney fanatic so anything Disney seems to bring about excitement. We will also stay in the same cabin number this cruise as we stayed in all the others.
.

I just booked another cruise for this November. It will be a mother/daughter cruise to celebrate my birthday! So now my cruise on the Dream next June will be my 3rd cruise, but still my first on the Dream. Now I need to book a trip on the Fantasy! :dance3:

We will probably spend the night before at Old Key West then after the cruise we aren't sure if we will spend another night on Disney property or drive to Ocean City MD to finish off our vacation. As DH keeps telling me we have plenty of time to decide... we go back to Disney this May for 9 nights then one night in Hilton Head he said he doesn't want to talk about next year until at least we take this years vacation but I could talk about Disney for days and never be tired of it.

I agree. Talking Disney is my "stress" therapy! :rotfl2: Although, sometimes I stress a "little" over my Disney planning. But Disney "stress" is easily managed by talking it out and making more plans. Everyone thinks I'm crazy for planning so many Disney trips. That's what I love about these boards, everyone else is just as crazy as me!:rotfl: We will be staying at WDW before this cruise. We don't know when and where yet. We are waiting for my DGS's school schedule. We should know by August. Surely by then the 2014 prices will be out so that our TA can get us some quotes.

So true there are not many people except those on these boards who understands or is willing to listen to me go on and on... I say Disney planning is one of the reasons I get up and go to work in the morning so I can work and therefore go on more disney trips!!! ;-)

Maybe we'll have an empty ship. :rotfl2: This cruise is so far away. I couldn't stand it so I booked an additional cruise this November for my birthday. I am hoping that the June 2014 prices don't go up too much so that I can rebook it with the onboard booking discount on my November cruise. Maybe I can get a better room for the same price that I have now, or keep the type rooms we have now at a cheaper price and use the difference to get a better room at WDW. Decisions decisions. :confused3 Of course if the prices go up any more
on the June cruise (they already have since booking) I guess we'll just keep what we have and stay at a value at WDW. No matter what, it will be a great Disney vacation!:cool1:

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :cool1:

Have a great cruise!

I didn't notice. I wonder how much our stateroom classification increased. I will have to look. We go to wdw this may then the cruise next June..... I need my disney fixes often.....

..... I need my disney fixes often.....

Me too! It's so funny, the first time that I went to Disneyworld in 1980 I was not that impressed. I was able to say "been there, done that" but didn't really have the desire to go back. In 1997, I was pretty much given a trip to Disneyworld (all I had to pay for was the park tickets). Again, I was not that impressed. But when one of my daughters and I went in 2006, I became hooked. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to go back until 2010 when I was given another trip to WDW. It was also that year that I payed off my home. Now I have been able to go either to WDW or on a cruise every year since then and it still doesn't seem like it's enough. This year I was able to do both WDW in Feb/March and a birthday cruise in November. :cheer2:

How much fun cruise and wdw.... my kids think this years trip is in August we are going to surprise them by picking them up the last Friday in May and going to wdw. My kids have not been to the parks since 2009. They have been on a couple Disney cruises and stayed on Disney property but haven't been to the parks in a while. My youngest just turned 7 she will be so excited. We bought DVC on our last cruise.

What a great surprise! My grandsons (who will be 9 and 4 when we cruise and go to WDW next year) are so excited. The older one can't wait for the WDW portion of the trip. When we started talking about cruising in 2014 he informed us that he did the cruise the last time (in 2012) and now it was time to go back to WDW. The younger GS can't wait to go back on the "Mickey Boat"! It is all he talks about. I don't think he remembers WDW since he was only 22 months old the last time he went. I am excited to do both. That will make two years in a row that I get to do both in the same year. However, I may have to cruise twice next year since I seem to have started a tradition of being on a cruise for my birthday. Does two years in a row make a tradition? :rotfl:

I believe that is a tradition.... we have stayed in the same state room number for each cruise. So this cruise will make 4 cruises in the same room.

We will! It will be me, hubby, DD (will have just turned 18) and DS (will be 9 - NANNY, maybe we can get our boys together!) This is a Graduation celebration cruise for DD who will have just graduated from High School :sad1: Possibly will have other family/friends join us. Have only been on the Wonder back in 2010 and are soooooo ready for another cruise! We are getting ready for a Disney fix in the meantime, we are camping at the Fort in just 3 weeks!

Welcome! What a great graduation gift! It would be great if my DGS (9) would befriend someone on the ship. Last year he pretty much just stayed in the stateroom. What's funny is that he will usually be friends with anyone. He is usually the one to reach out to someone. I totally understand about the Disney fix. I can't wait till my birthday cruise this November.
