So, just me & DH(No kids for a whole weekend!!)
What's the location of Dream Castle like?Is it possible to walk in to DLP or must we take the shuttle bus?
Chose Dream Castle as it looks so lovely & think I got a bargain at £164 for 2 nights B&B!!

It's not close enough to walk. We stayed there last time and had to take the bus. It is a great hotel though!

The bus system was horrible, it shares with the other hotels in the area (Mytravel's, Holiday Inn, etc.) the line for the bus was packed, people pushed others off the bus. We decided to park the car after one night on the bus!

Oh dear, we're travelling by Eurostar so no car with us...Guess we'll be playing 'sardines' with the crowd on Bus...Or maybe it's possible to get a cab??
Pleased to hear Hotel's good though!:thumbsup2

.... to and from the parks. I am usually at DLP during the week, and have never had a problem with the buses to and from the hotels, except just before park opening, and at park closing time. At all other times it is ok - not luxury, but not worth taking a taxi with two nights worth of luggage.

I stayed at the Dream Castle at the weekend in June a few years ago, again even then the buses where busy but we always managed to get on. Better to save taxi money to spend on shopping :-)

when we stayed at explorers a few weeks ago the buses were leaving empty at around 7.30 - 8.30 am (the time i spent waiting outside the hotel while dh searched for car keys) so if you had an early breakfast and went in fairly early you would be ok. the parks let people in at 9.30 am so you don't have to wait around in the cold.
or else enjoy the pool and time alone until after the rush?
the other rush time is 5.30-7.30 when everyone's kids get tired. if you're eating in disney village it shouldn't be too bad.
we actually had some lovely meals in newport bay last time.
or of course you could watch a (proper grown-up) film - there are lots of english language ones.
or else get a taxi - it's fairly cheap.

Thanks for the replies.
We're arriving on Fri lunchtime(8th Feb) & planning on just chilling out for the afternoon or maybe popping to the shopping centre at Val D'europe!
We'll then have a nice meal somewhere that night, probably at Disney Village & hopefully get an early(ish) start on the Saturday to 'hit' both parks!(just doing what we want to do!)
We've been to DLP twice before & Orlando lots of times so this trip is really just for us to have a few days 'adult' alone time!
Hoping to book into a nice restaurant for the Saturday night..Not too sure where though?
Then DH wants to go into Paris on the Sunday for the day before we catch Eurostar home that night..A very quick trip but I'm sure it'll be worth it!

.....but you might want to go to the park on the Friday, and do shopping on the saturday afternoon. Even in winter the parks are very busy at the weekends, you'll probably find you manage to get loads done on the Friday, then don't feel so pushed on the Saturday.
