Well, according to the DCL website the Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah has:
Specifications
  • Sleeps: 5
  • Size: 306 sq. ft., including verandah
  • Room Configuration: queen bed, double sleeper sofa and upper berth pull-down bed
  • View: private verandah with floor-to-ceiling windows

Thanks...I guess i missed that! i assumed it was like the other Deluxe Family cabins with the murphy bed by the veranda door...we will have to draw straws for who is sharing a bed!

I'm pretty sure there's a sofa (that turns into a twin bed), a bed that pulls down from the ceiling (not a Murphy from the wall per se), in addition to the queen bed. The stateroom attendant will make up the sofa and pull down bed each night. So you just have to draw straws to see who gets the "bunk" bed!

Sofa is a double bed once folded out. Unfortunately, it blocks access to the Verandah.

Yes that double sofa bed is poor design by blocking off the veranda. looks like two of us will have to share the queen bed. i am fine with that...i don't think any of us would want to sleep in the bunk or under someone sleeping in the bunk for that matter!

Yes, certainly does take away room, but just for sleeping anyway. I found that I could squeeze myself between the Murphy bed to get to the door...but with the picture above of the double pull-out, it looks like there is absolutely no room! still bigger cabins in general than other ships, so not complaining, just an observation.:)

Although it doesn't show concierge, this is very helpful...and this will probably be my last concierge so it doesn't matter. DS loves the pull down bunk and i usually have to ask if xyz cabin has it and if not, i change the cabin number. so, yes, it deserves a sticky...i wouldn't have even thought to look for something so comprehensive..quite impressive. Thanks!

I will add, that double sleeper couch is very comfy, even for an adult. fwiw.

Just back from the cruise monday morning and I have to say that I really do not like the design of this bed up against the cabinets. at least with the murphy bed there was still a space slightly big enough to get past and onto the veranda. Not sure what the thinking was in changing that design, but maybe some people like it better! oh well, i guess if that's all i have to worry about, i would be doing OK! still a great cruise!
