We will be arriving on Christmas Eve and staying thru Sunday before heading to London for the New Year's. It is our 2nd visit but 1st time staying on site. We stayed in Val D Europe (Adagio) over the Fall Holiday in October.

We will be at the Hotel Cheyenne. Not sure if worth spending the extra money to stay on property (didn't think the discount was really significant but oh well). Wanted to give the kids the full experience and the decorations for the holiday. We are living in a furnished flat so limited decorations for the year while all of our things are in storage back home! :(

Anyhoo we get a 10% discount on dining. I can't determine if it would be a waste of money to get the half board standard plan added. We have breakfast covered. Last time we only ate at the fast/quick restaurants and usually got their meal deal. We have no experience with the buffets or sit down restaurants. My aunt was visiting and we were trying to keep dining costs down.

We will be going into Paris for 1 day of our trip and I know that the vouchers are not available for Christmas Eve. I can still add the half board next week.
I misplaced my paperwork but I think I was quoted 70-80 Euro/day??

It is my understanding that we get a beverage with our AP? Plus the discount on the food correct? I don't think that the board plan was giving a discount.

Thanks
Shannon

If you are a dream ap holder and dont tend to eat table/buffet service at dlp there is no point at all paying for any meal plan.

We were planning to eat at nicer places this time since my Aunt isn't going to be with us and we can afford to spend a little more ;)

I'm sure we will do 1 counter meal and then a sit down/buffet for the 3rd meal. Will probably mix between lunch/dinner depending upon the day and weather. The day we are in Paris we wouldn't use the dining on site but it is my understanding we could use 2 vouchers on another day instead.

I just can't quite determine money wise if we save by getting the meal plan or just applying our AP discount at the buffets/sit down restaurants.

compared to your straight 10% AP discount, you don't save anything like that by buying a meal plan, so I still wouldn't do it, even if you intend having buffet/table service meals every day you are there :). The meal plan vouchers are restrictive too, you can't use them everywhere at DLP.
