Yes, there was always a line at the sandwich/fruit place (and I think that's where they used to be) - so I can see how they made it worse.

Cookies in Cabanas looked heinous so we didn't get any. I did order some from room service one day and they weren't too bad.

I tried a new float - sprite and strawberry soft serve. It was also tasty!

The cookies in Cabanas are like hokey pucks. I don't get it at all. The room service once were good, but literally took an hour to arrive so I didn't do that again.

Oh my gosh, that float sounds GENIUS. Why didn't I think to do that!?!?

2 SILs and I sat there playing cards while the kids were in the pool on the second sea day. We voted on every combination of soda/soft serve and that one came out on top (after finding out that there was no root beer on-board).

Can you get it in a can from Preludes? I know that really doesn't count and my daughter is salty about this too. I also love root beer. We were considering bringing some cans with us next cruise.

I am glad to hear that, although it is not as good as the cocoa from the machine. I am not sure why.

The packets have sucralose (or aspartame?). The machine has dextrose or high fructose corn syrup (What most of us think of tasting like sugar - well, pretty sure dextrose is just one of the variations of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen without the chlorine added to make sucralose keep from breaking bonds in digestion). We asked to see the label on a cruise. Can’t stand the packets. There are brands without the artificial or modified sweeteners.

You can get Lays chips (plain and BBQ) from Currents bar. We were walking around to check out Satellite Falls (just looking) and passed Currents on the way...stopped and asked for 4 bags of chips when we noticed them on display there. My adult kids were ecstatic when we brought them back to the room.

We were on the Dream sailing from Port Canaveral in May. There were hot chocolate packets at the drink stations. I remember thinking this is odd because it is hot here and going into Summer.

I routinely use hot chocolate/cocoa packets to make cafe mocha using our Keurig. One packet in a large cup, Keurig coffee to the half-way point in the cup, add hot water from the Keurig, top with whipped cream. The paper cups onboard are smaller, so there I use less than a full packet, add coffee, top with half and half. Just as tasty as what they sell at Cove Cafe and included in the cruise fare.

We were on the Wonder several years ago sailing to Alaska. It may have even been the first year they sailed there. Anyway, I remember getting "real" hot chocolate with whipped cream from the bar. It was delicious. They may have even come around with a cart serving it. Of course it wasn't free, but it was excellent.

They use to have them, not packaged, from room service. They came with sandwiches, etc. so I always ordered a bowl of chips to put in a ziploc to have something to crunch on. Tried to do the same from room service on the Wish and chips are now gone. They can offer you french fries but no chips.

We live in Florida and I love hot drinks. I sip on the hot chocolate before bed on the ship. I also could live on soup, even living in FL.
