Has anybody done the 3-night Dream cruise?

I've never done such a short cruise (I've done 7-night and longer) and am wondering how they are in comparison. I've also never been on the dream.

I had actually felt pretty much done with Disney cruises, however, I have a random Monday off coming up and thought I'd take advantage of the "free" day off with a quick cruise. The only ships going that weekend are Enchanment of the Seas and the Dream. My cruising buddy keeps asking me why DCL keeps getting ranked so high and I can't really give her an answer so I figured a 3-day would be a good way for her to see without committing to too much lol.

I like Nassau as one of my favorite dive ops is down there and I love getting the fresh fresh seafood at the Fish Fry (though I stick to conch and lobster as I'm terrified of Ciguatera).

Any advice or things to be aware of that are specific to the 3-day cruises?

Just that you'll regret that you didn't have more days off. My first cruise was a 3 night on the Dream and I was hooked. I stayed on the ship on the Nassau day so I could enjoy the ship more, but it sounds like you enjoy Nassau. It's just really hard to find time to take advantage of all the ship has to offer on a 3 night.

I did the three night on the Dream last year for Easter and loved it! I have also been on the Enchantment about 5 years ago for a four day cruise and enjoyed it. So I did consider it last year for Easter, but I chose the Dream and am so happy I did. It is a great ship.

Don't worry about it only being three days and enjoy every minute of it. I have done cruises of 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 14 days in length on different cruise lines and enjoy them for whatever time I have on them. I currently have both a three day and a twelve day booked on the Magic and I am looking forwards to both of them equally for different experiences.

Don't worry about the length of the cruise, just enjoy it which I know you will! Have taken several 3-night Disney cruises (mostly on the Dream) and never regretted
any one of them. Bon voyage.

It goes by fast but it's awesome. Our first cruise was 3 nights, our second was 4 nights. Both were amazing and we're going on another 3 nights next year.

Yeah we love the 3 nights. My wife's job doesn't get as much vacation time as mine so the 3 nights work out very well for us.

This is kind of what I'm worried about. Not that I think I will necessarily regret going on a 3-day, but that it will feel harried due to the short time frame.

I can't seem to commit and just book it.

The only bad thing was that our 3 night cruise went by super fast for us. You only get two full days and you're in port both days so you don't get much time on the ship. It felt like we got on and before we knew it we were getting off again. We had a blast though and if you have a long weekend, there's no better way I can think of to spend it than on a ship.

Look at it this way... 3 days on a Disney cruise is better than 3 days not on a Disney cruise. My very first cruise was a solo, 3 night cruise on the Dream. I was able to enjoy a couple tastings classes, spend some time in the Rainforest Room, hang out on my veranda reading and snacking on the All Hands on Deck Platter, snorkel at CC, lay on a lounger at Serenity Bay, eat a wonderful meal at Palo, see the shows, and relax overall. Was I sad that it ended after 3 nights? Definitely. Did I wish I'd had more time to book a longer cruise? Sure. Did I feel harried due to the short time frame? No.

That's why I'm wrestling with it, I think. I've done done a cruise for a long weekend and tend to pick something that is very low key for such a short time.

I'm sure in the next week or so I will get it booked. I'm sure I won't regret it. Worst case will be I find out that I'd rather stick to 7-day and longer.

I agree with the previous posters, FairestofThemAll. Though the majority of my cruises (almost all DCL) have been 7 days or more which I prefer, DH and I just took a 3 night getaway a few weeks ago. For me, I had to set my mind up for success (since I'm so blessed and spoiled to have been on longer cruises!) by looking at it for what it was....a long weekend getaway but not just ANY weekend getaway but a Disney cruise!!! Woohoo!!!

It is true you have less time but ya know what? That means a LOT easier time packing up and unpacking! LOL!!! I thought it was great and plus, it put me as my 10th cruise so now I'm Platinum! Yay!! I say go for it and have a blast!!

We just got off the a 3 day from the dream this morning after doing a 7 day last year. My advice is to do it. We are definitely going back to a 7 day next year, but this is all we had time for this year and we loved it. We just wished it was longer! but it was still a great time!
