Drain

Do any of you use a device for draining and rinsing the holding tanks? I've seen them advertised in the Camping World mag and wondered if they really are worth the $$.

Also, have any of you used the Tornado air filter for better gas mileage and has it worked?

I use the items above to clean the holding tanks, then i fill the tanks partially and add chemicals that will slosh around on the trip home to further clean the tank.

Wow, thanks for the photos Scott! I have a sprinkler thing, but wondered about the flush adapter. Does it work very well? I noticed there is a more $$ one. I wonder what the difference is besides $$. It's called Flush King.

I assume you don't use the Tornado air system. We thought we'd give it a try to see if it would improve gas mileage, especially when they are predicting much higher gas prices. We get about 9 - 10 w/camper and 15-16 w/o in our custom van. Not too great.

We have something called a quickie flush on our gray and black tanks. You have to install these directly on the tank from the outside, then you attach a hose to the inlet and run it awhile and it sprays inside the empty tank. Then just drain and repeat as needed. No need to go inside camper. They sell them at Camping World and Campers Choice. They work great.
