Dragon Challenge Que only?

Is there a chicken exit if we want to walk the que of Dragon Challenge? My husband and son will be riding but my daughter and I will not. My daughter saw that Ron's car is midway in the que line and really wants to get pictures and see it. My next question is--where are the metal detectors and lockers in the que line?Even if we can walk through the que only-is the car after the lockers so we wouldn't get a camera to that point anyways? Thanks as always

The lockers are outside the ride entrance, so I don't think you would be able to get a camera in that far if I remember correctly.

The metal detectors are midway up the path in the queue, but I can't remember for 100% certain if it is before or after Ron's car....

The metal detectors are right before the car. The que is really neat with a great view of the castle. We just went a few weeks ago and told the person at the entrance of the ride that we only wanted pictures, they had no problem with that. There was a cm standing by a chain, close to the car. He saw that we were just taking pictures and let us in to get a few shots of the car (it's only a few feet away). There are some stairs by him. After you are done, go down the stairs and you can wait for your family on the benches while possible seeing them zoom by you on the ride.

I did exactly the same thing as hobbester to get a few queue photos. If you want to go deeper and see the rest, then yes, there is a way to chicken out in the loading room and get back to the exit ramp.

You may be able to walk past the metal detectors to see the rest of the queue, but I have seen TMs turn people away who were trying to go further just to take photos. I suppose there are people who try to game the system and so they have to be strict about it.

Even if you can't take photos, it's still cool to see the Anglia!
