Dragging out dinner?

My Toppolino reservation in December is for 5:50. From what I've read, fireworks are at 8. Is it reasonable to think we could be finishing at that point? Or does that make me a jerk?

What park? But really, none of the fireworks are that close. But depending how many courses you order, you’ll probably be finishing about 7:30. There is a large outdoor balcony to view them from. So just go out there when you’re done with your meal. You really can’t see much from most of the tables, anyway.

It's really the EPCOT fireworks that are best seen from Topolino's but I think in December those are actually later ... they shift from the usual 9pm to 9:30 pm to accommodate the last performance of the Candlelight Processional for the day. But yes, you can have a leisurely dinner or if you feel like you're trying too hard to space it out, can always just go to the lounge. For that matter you could explore the resort for a bit and then return to the lounge. It's not like California Grill where you have to be let into the elevator or need a receipt to be able to return. As others said, you'd probably want to go out to the terrace to view anyway unless you happened to have one of the tables by the window.

We have a 9 pm ADR for Topolinos so we can enjoy dinner and catch the fireworks. Personally, I think 3 hours plus is a bit much to drag out a dinner. I would be very uncomfortable holding a table for that amount of time. Keep stalking availability to see if you can find something closer to fireworks time. Good luck!

Edit: YES, Topolino's is our favorite restaurant. We also have a breakfast ADR. Worth it!

From the Cresent lake area, you can see many of the Epcot fireworks from up close. From Topolino’s, you will see Epcot fireworks from a distance. And MK fireworks from n even further distance. Theres no music for either of them. Sounds like you were looking at the schedule for MK, which you’d see at 8. Worth it? Up to you. The food is delicious & the almosphere relaxing & upscale.

You could keep your Topolino’s adr, see MK fireworks in the distance & skyliner back to Swan are to catch the Epcot fireworks. The bridge between Swan & Boardwalk has a great view of those IMO.

Topolino's is great! We've eaten there a few times with our last time on Mother's Day. I actually timed that reservation so we boarded the Skyliner as the EP fireworks started - that was a fun, free and great way to see them!
