Dragging a grumpy DH back to the World ~ Single Digits!!

I just realized...we leave in 37 days!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap, I have been so busy I didn't even realize we are in the 30s. CRAZY!!! A week from today I can officially begin saying, "This time next month we'll be in WDW!" :rotfl: This drives Aaron nuts, so you can bet I'll be doing it at least 3x a week. Muwahaha.

Btw, my BFF's baby is due Wednesday and my sister's due in about two weeks. I'm also going to Holiday World (a theme park in southern Indiana) on August 1 and the Keith Urban concert on August 15. Lots of stuff going on! I'm really excited for the next few weeks to come. :yay:

YAY for 37 days!! Tim is OCD with pins too lol.

That is great news about Erik!!

Wonderful news about Erik!!! Sending prayers for a continuing recovery! :wizard:

Woohooo for your low, low, LOW ticker!:cheer2::woohoo:

Ah, ok...I guess I got confused (which is VERY easy). That's so cool you got to ride it during the previews. Sounds like fun!! What's your highest score on there?

Hmm, that is a good question, I don't really remember what my highest score was! All I know is that on our trip in Dec. I was riding with some guy and I kept glancing at his score because I really wanted to beat him. He ended up pulling out the victory at the last second.:laughing:

August is just around the corner...our trips are going to be here so soon!

So glad to hear that everything is going smoothly with Erik so far :grouphug:

37 days?! Where does the time go??? Before you know it, it'll be the week you leave. You must be so excited to get going and be in WDW already. I know I'm excited and I'm still 3 days away from my ADR date :hyper: :hyper:

Thanks so much everyone for the prayers! We all really appreciate it! The doctor wasn't able to perform the surgery the way he originally planned because the pressure was higher than they thought. However, they did this experimental surgery procedure they think might help relieve some of it. The don't how long this will hold off the pressure build up, but it did temporarily fix it. He's also on several different meds to help with the pressure build up. So far, so good!

THANK GOODNESS!!! We don't know what the future will hold for his vision, but for now he can see out of that eye. We are just so relieved that he's been blessed with this small miracle right now. He deserved it! Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:
Such wonderful news! I haven't been posting, I'm just trying to keep up with my TR and the home improvement projects are taking over right now! But I read and prayed. I'm so thankful that it went well. :goodvibes:

My oldest nephew, Erik (age 9), went in for surgery this afternoon to relieve severe pressure on his eye. A bit of back story -- Erik was has Congenital Glaucoma. Over his short life, he's had over 40 eye operations. He has zero vision in his left eye and some vision in his right "good" eye. He had a tube placed in his eye to help alleviate some of the pressure. Recently, it's has started to build up to severe levels. He's in surgery now, and they don't know if they'll be able to save his "good" eye. Which means, he will be completely blind.

I just hate to see him go through this. He's so young! I know losing your vision is not a death sentence by any means. But still, the thought of being completely blind before you're ten years old?? It's hard to even comprehend.
Oh no! Will def pray for him. Please keep us updated.

Woo Hoo for 37 days!! You are getting so close. I am tempted to pack my bags and sneak down there with you  Sounds like you have a busy month until you go.

If you are still looking for baby shower ideas... my MIL took a new potty chair, washed it, and served punch in it :rotfl2: It was hysterical. If that sounds too yucky you could do a clean baby bathtup or something.

I know!! I can't believe it's almost under a month. I'm amazed how quickly this countdown has went. Watch, the last few weeks will just drag.

Ha! I always try to steal a glance at other peoples scores in hopes I'm beating them. I tell myself I'm not a competitive person but I totally am. I'm determined to beat Aaron when we go. I'm sure I won't b/c he's usually good at all that kind of stuff. :sad2:

I know!! You'll be in WDW this time next month. CRAZY!!!!! :dance3:

I know!! It's crazy how fast it has went. I just hope that our trip goes nice and slow. Btw, how'd your ADRs go? Did you make them online?

Such wonderful news! I haven't been posting, I'm just trying to keep up with my TR and the home improvement projects are taking over right now! But I read and prayed. I'm so thankful that it went well. :goodvibes:

Thank you!

How goes all the home improvement? Have any pictures?

Oh no! Will def pray for him. Please keep us updated.

Ha! The more the merrier. You can sleep on the pull-out sofa. I'm hoping that with all the other things we have coming up that I'll be so busy I won't focus on how many days we have left. I'm not a patient person and get really antsy when counting down for a trip. I think I annoy everyone around me w/..."Guess where we'll be this time in [insert number of days here]!" :lmao::rotfl2:

I was cracking up when I read about the potty chair punch bowl. That is hilarious!! I told my mom about it and she was not amused. :sad2: I so would've done it though, if they had let me.

Wow, I have been so neglectful of this thing lately. SAD! Even more sad since our trip is only 25 days away!!!! :yay:

I've been pretty busy with with a lot of different things this past week or so:

Quilting!!
My BFF is expecting a little girl. In fact, she's officially a week overdue. :scared: I decided to venture into the quilting world (no easy fete -- I am NOT creative) and make something special for her little girl. Her nursery colors are black and white. I decided to use black, white and an accent of hot pink. My sister helped me along, but I did 95% of the work all by myself! :woohoo: The best part is, I was able to keep my big mouth shut and sent it off as a surprise. I really hope they love it, b/c I'm quite proud of it!

Baby Shower
My sister's baby shower was a success! I wound up only doing the Price is Right game, but people seemed to enjoy it. We had a great turn out and she received some really nice things. The best thing, probably this Uppa stroller. It even made me have stroller envy!

My niece was born!!
My sister had her baby!!!!! Maya Marie was born last night (July 27) at 6pm. She was 8lb 4oz and 19.5" long. She is absolutely gorgeous!!! Everything went very smoothly and everyone is doing great. :goodvibes

Great update. The quilt (and your new DN) is so cute. I tried knitting once, it didn't work out so well so now I leave it to my aunt and grandmother. :thumbsup2

I can't believe your trip is so close. Do you have any loose ends to still wrap up, or are you pretty much all set?

Awww, congrats on your niece! Babies are so cute. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Only 25 days to go until your trip...ahh we're going to be there so soon!

Hey Kirsten!!! Congrats on your new baby neice!!!! LOVE the quilt!!!!!!!

25 MORE DAYS!!! EEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!!!

Wow, you did an INCREDIBLE job on that quilt! :worship: What a gorgeous recipient of your quilt - she's a gorgeous little princess: Congratulations, Auntie!!!

Wow, that quilt is amazing! Great job on it!

Aw..the baby is adorable! Congrats on being an Aunt! :cutie:

LOVE the quilt! It's another thing I have on my list to learn how to do when I'm out of nursing school.

Thanks! I liked quilting far more than I anticipated. Generally, I try things like that and fail miserably. But, this was actually quite therapeutic and relaxing. I only cursed a handful of times -- quilting must agree with me! :lmao:

I know!!! :hyper: I do have several things I want to wrap up -- primarily our itinerary. I still haven't really finished it. I saw where they adjusted the hours to early August, so I'm hoping they lengthen late August too. Hopefully, I'll post my new itinerary on here today. :goodvibes

Thank you!! Don't you just love babies? The only negative thing -- I now have serious baby fever!! I can't wait to have one of my own...even after I saw the aftermath of the birthing process. :scared:

You only have three left on your ticker!!! :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: We'll be there before you know it. I'm getting so excited!!!!!!!!

Hey Lynn!! How are you? Thanks so much -- I'm completely in love w/ her already. She is so cute!!

I know!!!!!!! I'm so ready to go. Well, actually...not so much. I had this urge to pull out my suitcase and start packing. You should've seen Aaron's face. :rotfl: I also need to start organizing all my pins, too. How does Tim travel with his traders? He uses a binder, right?

Wow, you did an INCREDIBLE job on that quilt! :worship: What a gorgeous recipient of your quilt - she's a gorgeous little princess: Congratulations, Auntie!!!

Thanks Lisa!! Yeah, she really is a princess -- spoiled rotten already. She's the only girl. She has FOUR brothers. The poor thing will never be able to date.

How's your mom and grandpa doing, btw?

Wow, that quilt is amazing! Great job on it!

Aw..the baby is adorable! Congrats on being an Aunt! :cutie:

Thank you!! I was really excited how it turned out. I hope my BFF likes it.

I love being an aunt!! It's great b/c I get to spoil her rotten and then send her back to her parents. :rolleyes1 It's great!!

LOVE the quilt! It's another thing I have on my list to learn how to do when I'm out of nursing school.

Thanks!! I had always wanted to learn, and my sister had taught herself so she helped me. It was a lot of fun and pretty relaxing really. I cheated and used a sewing machine. I couldn't imagine doing all that by hand. :scared: The hardest part was cutting everything out in a semi-accurate way. That was seriously a PAIN! But otherwise, it as a lot of fun experience.

HAHA I had my stuff off to the side ready to be packed in my suitcase like amonth before lol!

We carried our pins in our pin trading books, and in baggies for the ones we were going to trade. We had a carry on just for pins!!!!! LOL. Security in Philly airport thought we were nuts lol.

HA! I knew you'd understand my need for packing three weeks in advance. I've already put aside a lot of things that I want to pack. I can't wait to officially start packing. I'm such a nerd.

I love you had a separate carry-on just for pins. I was so nervous the first time I traveled w/ them. The airport security people thought they were some sort of weapon and they scanned my bag three times. I had this horrified look on my face and yelled out, "No! Not my pins!!!" :rolleyes1 They thought it was hysterical.
