Dr Who!!

Well big night here tonight in Cardiff as Peter Eccleson is here to launch the new series of Dr Who.

They have announced that the first show will be aired on Easter Saturday on BBC and if it proves popular, they will start filming another series in the summer.

I cant wait to see this, as I was an extra in one scene and hope I have'nt ended up on the cutting room floor!

Well hopefully looking normal, although it was first thing in the morning, so I could have very well passed for an alien.

I dont know what episode it will be in, but all I can tell you is that it was being filmed outside our local church, there was somebody dressed as a bride screaming as she ran towards the church, and I was a passerby walking by opposite the church, you know come to think of it I have'nt reiceved my royality cheque yet!!

I have a little bit more news on this for those of you who are interested. At the launch last night they showed the first episode to a celeb audience(still cant believe I did not get an invite after starring in it) and apparently it went down very well, not to give to much away, but the Darleks can now get upstairs!!!!

There will be 14 episodes in this series. Start time 7pm Saturday BBC on 26th March.

Peter and Billie informed me of the above tonight, when they popped in with my cheque

Don't tell my brother that! When we were little he used to run behind the sofa and hide as soon as the distinctive Dr. Who music began and he was especially terrified, I mean literally terrified, of the Darleks. Any episode with the Darleks and he would go hide in his room! Must give him a call and find out if he'll be watching

Not to sound too nerdy or anything but I seem to remember that in one of the later episodes of Dr Who, the Daleks had developed a sort of rocket booster system that allowed them to get up stairs.

Obviously the effect was pretty naff but that was always the beauty of Dr Who
