Dr.'s Office- GRRRRR!

I swear , it's easier to get ADRs for Cindy's castle than it is to get through to my Doctor's office! I've been dialing and hitting redial for the last 35 minutes. The were supposed to open the phone lines when they opened at 8, but they are still playing the after-hours message.

K- now it's been an hour and they are still playing the after-hours message. It's tough to be patient when you don't feel good!

I feel ya. My docs staff turns on the phones whenever they feel like it. They say it's because the docs come in whenever THEY feel like it. Must be nice to be able to be complacent about when work starts. You'd think they'd be more compassionate about who their clients are but I think they are ridiculously cold hearted about it. Good luck and get better quick!

Thanks. We're coming up on an hour and a half and they still have not opened the lines. I went through to the on-call receptionist and told her I've been dialing for the last hour and asked if they would be opening the lines at some point. She said she didn't know what was wrong and that they were trying to work on it.

I think the longest they've waited to open the phones before was about 45 minutes. I'm thinking about just driving over and walking in. (In fact, I would- but I was just there last week and the meds didn't work, so I don't know if they'll just call something else in or make me come back). I love my Doctor, but a lot of times his office is staffed with boneheads.

They do, but they won't help me. They just redirect me back to the main phone line. Still haven't opened the lines.

K- just let it ring through to the on-call people again. This time, the guy told me that they aren't answering the phones b/c they're closed. (Would have been nice for them to tell me that an hour ago when I talked to them- instead of sending me back to the main phone line). He paged the on-call nurse and she said she can't prescribe anything for me today- just take OTC stuff and call them in the morning. I'm going back to bed.
