Dr Phil...Family in Crisis

Anyone else been watching the series on this wacky family????

Watched it last week and was totally floored when the wife said she didnt care how her husband felt about her going to the christening of the baby she had during an affair and then gave up for adoption.

Compared to this family, my family looks like the Cleavers!

The Mom is something else! I feel real bad for her Husband.

I think the Mom is Psycho, but I really question the Husband's sanity...Who would stay in a marriage like that? Take your kid and leave.

And to answer someone else's question, I watch TV for entertainment and release.

I like Dr. Phil, but sometimes I do feel he is "exploitive" and crosses the line. This family is an example of that.

Something like if it came down to buying food for herself or food for her kids, she would chose herself.

Also--She said that the reason she won't get a job is because her religion (she is a Mormon) says that women should stay at home. Hello? Wonder what the Mormons' stance on having affairs are? She picks and choses when she wants to follow her religion.

Also, the church is paying their bills, but yet she still has a gym membership and goes to the tanning salon!!???!?!!?!?!?

All of what I have written above is from previous episodes with this family. TIVO'd today's episode and haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Can't wait!!

I have been watching and I can't believe this woman chose to go on TV and tell the world what a nut she is! I truly feel sorry for her kids, especially the daughter. They seem so heartbroken and who could blame them.

That woman is nuts. I can't believe she has a masters degree in family and marriage therapy. She needs to get therapy.. not give it.

I feel bad for that oldest daughter. She acts so much older than she should.
I feel bad for the older boy who was sent away. Why in the world didn't they stop his behavior before? That didn't happen overnight. And where is his biological dad?

She gave that poor baby up for adoption to a nice couple, yet she continues to contact them. That adoptive couple has to be scared that she may take that baby back. What a shame. I'll bet they had no idea what a nutcase the bio mom was. That baby is so dear.

Now she's pregnant again?? Sheesh. Her oldest daughter is at home, her oldest son was sent to a boys home in Texas, her other son was sent to live with his father, there's one younger boy still at home, a baby was put up for adoption and now she's having another baby.

I heard that the husband in this situation had a gambling problem. I don't know if that's true or not.

That family is so odd. I feel so badly for the kids.. . really, really bad for them.

How much of an idiot do you have to be to have all those affairs resulting in having to place a child for adoption then be unable to care for two of your other children THEN get pregnant AGAIN with $125K in debt???????? She is a moron and she should be sterilized!!!!!!!!!! Stop having babies lady!!!!!! They don't have the brains or the money to take care of children. Hopefully she'll place the next baby for adoption with a loving normal family.

I am glad others see this woman as I do , My God she is a nut case. She can not work outside the home because she is a Mormon? Yet, she can screw around whenever she wants?
After todays episode... I am sorry I no longer feel bad for the husband. He is clearly cracked himself. He should have taken the kid he had with her and left instead he is having unprotected sex with someone who is not sleeping only with him? And now he is having another child with her? Is this what he thinks his kids deserve? It's maddening to me. The adoptive parents of this baby should bolt and not allow her any entry into the babys life she clearly has nothing posetive to offer the child.
The husband is culpable in this situation. For enabling her to continue to throw kids away like dishrags.

The poor daughter...who has the only smarts in the whole house should be given a medal...the husband needs a spine....and the wife needs a good kick in the you-know-where!

I watch because I cannot believe my eyes and ears. They both could take a page from the daughter who is wise beyond her years and that is too sad.She is a mere child herself and certainly deserves better than she is getting! It takes more than biological capabilites to make a parent that's for sure.

They become adults because they have to take the responsibility of a woman who shirked it!

It is so sad to watch... this woman is a pitiful sad woman who craves power and attention. In the middle of it are her victims, her family. I don't feel for her husband, he chose her and he could leave but those children... what choices did they have?

She reminds me of the horrible woman in Small Sacrifices. Of course, these are the women who procreate at will while women who would love to bear a child can't!

It is like watching an accident... a sad accident with a worse ending further down the line.

This is true and also very sad, no child should have to take on adult responsibilities.

I haven't been following this family. I watched a little bit of today's show though, basically the part where the "mom" said that she had been unfairly portrayed on the show.

Very sad for those poor children...

I think she said something like she would buy candy bars and soda for herself and not groceries for the family. She has some obsession with sweets.

No that family is THE DR. PHIL FAMILY which come on Thursdays.

The family today sigh... all I can say is that "THING" is a sorry azz woman. There are too many birth control devices on the market and enough planned parenthoods where she could prevent these pregnancys. It's one thing if you can afford them and keep the babies, but I don't get it.
Also, I feel so sorry for the oldest daughter. I can understand how she feels about being the next to go. My heart really goes out to those kids.

Only saw a few minutes of the show - but it struck me as odd that she sent every one of her sons away. Wonder what makes the husband so sure the next baby is his??? How can he believe a word out of that "woman's" mouth???

I saw this family last week, while waiting for my new dryer to arrive, first time i've seen Dr. Phil in months. I missed it this morning though.

i wanna know where he finds these ppl? I spent most of last tuesday's show with my jaw wide open at the things this woman said. Lemme tell ya, i've known a few Mormon women in my life and she definitely does not follow the Mormon teachings. As for the husband, he needs to get his head out of the sand. She's had 3 affairs and he's sleeping with her again?!!! If my husband did that he'd only have to worry about sleeping with the worms. And i wouldn't fare any better if i did that to him.

On another Dr. Phil note: I found out on monday that he had Brooks and Dunn on the show as a Valentine's gift for Robin. Did anybody tape that? I just love em, and I would love to see that show.

I want take that woman and shake her till her teeth rattle. She sits up there is her "I'm so misunderstood attitude" because she thinks Dr. Phil has portrayed her as the heavy. WELL HELLO! you told all of the watching audiece what you have done. I also don't think too much of the husband either. If he stood up for himself and his children, maybe this whole mess could have been avoided and now he's got her pregnant again. I just want to scoop up those poor children and take them home with me. I agree with Dr. Phil. He sees right through her and she is a master manipulator.
