I couldn't find the other thread, so I'll just start a new one real quick.....

Is it just me, or does everyone feel bad for Hailey? I just watched the episode when she went to visit Montreal and she seemed so happy there. When she came back, she just seemed so *blah*.....and when she was trying to talk to her husband, all he seemed to care about was that he went to the cannery and canned up the whole frickin house, and he straightened the fridge and cleaned her closet and ran the house like the military when she was gone.....That WAS nice of him, but he really seems a tad bit self-absorbed.....I really hope she gets better. She looks so sick and washed out sometimes and really do feel bad for her....It seems like she really needs to do some self evaluating, because I don't know what she's doing and I don't know if she knows either....

Ok, I guess that was all I had to say....I just felt like writing that.

I felt the same way for her, she seemed so sad, but yet she goes back :confused3 she obviously realizes something is missing, but then who could walk away from all those $$$

I also love the Dr.'s doing the work on the guy from the car accident, but do they all have to repeatedly say they are doing it pro bono? It is wonderful what they have done, but just do it without the commentary over and over.

And doing things for the common man are great, but I just found the girl with the deflated chest a little much...shallow is a word that comes to mind.

LOL...I do enjoy the show, just venting along with you :teeth:

I don't watch it often enough to figure out the answer to this question ... what exactly is wrong with Haley -- I mean physically (clearly, there might be a lot long mentally!). Does she have an eating disorder? I know I saw a preview where she said something like she weighed 80 pounds or something (scary!!!) but I never got to see the episode...

I watch the show, but haven't seen this episode yet. It just shows you how money really can't buy happiness.

I don't understand why she didn't take the kids with her. :confused3 I live far from my family. If I didn't have to work, and had a lot of $$, I'd visit my family every 2-3 months, with my dd.

With that big house, she needs a full time housekeeper. She could also involve herself in charity work. I bet if she tried, she'd do a great job fundraising by organizing lunches, fashion shows, etc.

Happiness comes from within. She needs help so she'll stop feeling like a victim and take charge of her life.

Sometimes I feel bad for Hailey and other times I think she's helping to create her own misery. She did seem a lot happier in Montreal, though. Maybe she should visit there a lot more with her children in tow. It seemed like her family also still lives there??? I have no idea why she wouldn't take the kids to see their grandparents. Wouldn't the grandparents have loved to watch them while Hailey went out to see her friends :confused3 I thought that that was weird.

I also didn't like how the doctors doing the pro bono work kept saying that it was pro bono. They did a great job regardless though!

Agreed -- there is something disturbing about how they make such a big deal about their pro bono work. It sort of seems to me that when you're a wealthy Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, a certain amount of pro-bono work should be obligatory and a given if you want to be able to think of yourself as a semi-worthwhile human being -- its not really a matter of going above and beyond, i.e., brag-worthy. When they go on about it, it almost seems like they want people to applaud them for saving the friggin' world or something. :lmao:

I missed the Montreal episode, but I saw the episode where they went on a "date" and were learning how to cook. He totally ignored Hailey and was paying more attention to the chef. If I were her, I would've walked out right then and there. She's too passive. Plus, I think she's revolving her whole world around him, the house and her kids. She needs to do something to make herself feel good about HER, but I think at this point she's so unhealthy that she doesn't have either the physical or emotional strength to do anything for herself.

On one episode she kept a food journal to show her husband. I mean in 1 day she would consume 1 slice of pizza, a pop, and a bagel. She said she is just too busy and forgets to eat. For the work he does he certainly doesn't (seem to) spend much time with his family. He would rather be at the gym or doing his martial arts than being home. That daughter is truly a work of art. I believe she runs the roost around there. She would be in for a rude awakening with me!! Haley really needs to get involved with something. Maybe when her bratty daughter goes to school, she can join the PTO or be a room-mom.

I believe this is the show we ended up watching that was showing the VERY graphic details of plastic surgery. How is that OK? It was beyond gross, and since one of them was a breast job, they were showing more nudity than they ever do on any prime time TV show.

Sorry fans, but the rest of the show seemed lame and even I couldn't take the graphic details.

I caught this show over the weekend and was grossed out, too! :rotfl:

I covered my head with the blanket when the Dr. was breaking the girl's nose. :scared1:

Do the patients receive free or reduced billing for agreeing to be on the show? Because there is no way in hell that I would want to flash my chest on tv or open up my gown and discuss pubic liposuction on television! :faint:

That Dr. Reyes is really out there, isn't he?? :sad2: Is Hailey his wife?

The episode we saw had a buy getting a nose job. A guy that the doctor said had to have had a really bad nose job in the past.

And of course the breast job... puke.

Yes, Hayley is Dr. Rey's wife..

I'm glad others agree with me over the pro-bono being thrown around in every full sentence  I think it is wonderful, but like another poster said, they seem to want a pat on the back for it.......just do it and be quiet about "how" you are paid....if it were me, I figure my payment would come from seeing the patient happy with the result and living a good life thereafter.

Did anyone catch that striped/checkered looking suit Dr. Rey had on when he came down the steps when Hayley got home?? :crazy2:

Ahh yes, the male stripper.

Dr. Rey seriously creeps me out. There is no reason for a doctor to tell a patient she looks "sexy"; that is beyond inappropriate.

Haley definately needs to gain some weight...she looks horrible. For someone who used to work in plastic surgery office (she was Dr. Rey's secretary when they met) she should know how to take care of herself. She is so bony and she was much much prettier when she had some meat on her bones in the 1st episode.

She needs to spank that daughter of theirs, cause she is a brat and get a life outside of that house and GO EAT A BIG OL' MEAL. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I feel bad for Hailey. All she wants is to be given the same time and energy that he puts into his work and martial arts. He does work long hours and makes alot of money, but i think when work is done he should go home to be with them, not work on his martial arts. What abotu their date, it didn't even seem like he wanted to be there with her. I am glad that she went away without her kids. She needs time to be with other grown ups. I don't blame her for not leaving him, I think she really does love him and wants to do whatever she can to stay with him, just like alot of people. He is the father of her children. Did anyone see the episode where he spoke to Sidney on the phone and she asked him something to the effect of whether he loved her when he is not with her. At that point I would have cancelled my appointments for the day and come home to my child. I feel bad for those kids, growing up with their father always away from home. He spoke with Hailey on the phone and asked when he was coming home because she had dinner waitng and after work he went to do Karate. He creeps me out the way he looks at the women's bodies when he is examining them. I know that is his job, but he really looks at them in a disturbning way.

Did they ever sell their other house.

He really ticked me off the day they moved. He went to work. He sat on the phone, telling Hailey where he wanted his stuff. Yes they had movers, but I think he really should have taken the day off and helped her. That was the day, I thought he really doesn't care about her, everything is about him.

The episode I saw was this past weekend and Dr. Rey (or Reye?) went to Venezuela. He was looking for inner beauty as well as outer beauty. His wife is dealing with these little kids and he's posing for photos with former Miss Venezuelas. At the end of the episode he's sitting on the couch with his wife, showing her all of these photos. :sad2:

The girl with the nose job also had breast implants, as did her friend. I must be missing something because I thought the girls looked much better before they had their chests inflated to the size of the giant Macy's Day Parade balloons! :rolleyes1

I saw this the other night. I was on the treadmill searching for something to watch. I couldn't believe how bad this Hailey woman looked! She is sooo thin and she just looks unhealthy and unhappy. It broke my heart. When she went home to him, I could not believe how self-absorbed he was. Does he ever listen to her or does it just go in one ear and out the other? Sad. It seems like a doomed marriage to me. She is sinking into a very lonely, dark place IMHO. He seems oblivious to that fact.
