Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has used DPS for their engagement pics? If so do they take pics inside the parks? Is it worth it? Thank you in advance for your feedback. :flower3:

That's why i thought but i couldn't figure out what the S stood for.

My Fiancé and I just had our engagement portraits done by Disney in Epcot. As far as the experienced goes it was worth it. We were there at 8:45 am before world showcase is open. It was so nice to see it with not a single person around. Then they take you to different spots in the counties that you can't go to normally. We went to 4 different countries. We had a really nice photographer and his assistant was awesome. You would have thought they knew us forever. They made us laugh and feel so comfortable. I haven't seen the pictures yet i still have another week before we get the website and another 3 weeks till they send us the book so I can't say how that went but if they look half as good as the ones they put on their own website I will be happy. I would definitely do it again. Let me know if you have any other questions.

They will take you to the parks but they won't take engagement pics in MK unless you already have your Wedding booked with Disney.

Awesome. Thank you soo much! I do have my wedding booked already. Do you know how far in advance you would have to book it?

We booked it about 1 month out. My fiancé also added the proposal package to it and he did that 1 day before the proposal so as long as they have a photographer free the day needed they will set it up.

So you can have e-pics done in MK as long as you book your wedding through them? FutureMrs.B is that where you were looking to do them, or at a diff park? That would be awesome to do.

That's what they told us. Since we aren't booked to have our wedding there yet we really didn't ask to many details about it. In my opinion I would do the engagment pics at another park then have your bridal portaits done at MK.

we were looking to do the epcot shoot for our e-pix, but i think we may just do the resort session for $125 at the grand floridian. he hates pictures and i just don't want to go overboard. we'll do the epcot/mk shoot for the wedding i guess.

When I checked into it with Disney Photography, it was $300 for the one hour in park session and you didn't get the High Resolution DVD with it. I really wanted the DVD so I could print my own pictures to make our STD and engagement announcements.

I ended up going with David and Vicki Arndt and I can still get my Cinderella Castle pictures from the Poly Beach and get the DVD so I can print my own.

Yes this is why I picked an outside photographer. I couldn't justify the price the Disney charges for just the shoot, and having to then pay for the DVD.:scared1:

I'm really glad I did this because D&V spent over the paid for time with us to insure that they satisfied us with the amount of pictures and quality. Not ever rushing us to get the shoot down in the time slot we paid for. I love the attention we recieved from them and can't wait for our wedding and activities for them to be apart of!! :cool1:

Well I technically get a free engagement session with my photographer but I'm not sure If I'll be able to take advantage of it. I just got a new job and Idk if I'm even going to be able to make it down there for a planning session let alone extra time for engagement pics. I was thinking with Disney they might have more availability on the weekends. Oh well I guess I'll have to decide which might be easier and more worth it for us. Thnx!

Oh my goodness! If you get free e-pics from your photographer, I would certainly try to take advantage of that. You're using Randy aren't you?
I'm sure he could get the castle pictures from one of the resorts.
If you do decide on an in park session I'd still do the ones with your photographer since it won't cost you anything extra. Keep us posted on what you decide.:)
