I have been hearing different opinions on the DP, but I have to say that I don't know all that much about it. Do you have to buy a package and tickets etc to be a part of the DP??

We are renting points from a DVC member, and we are annual passholders. We also use DDE whenever we eat our sit down meals. So a package from Disney is out of the question for us.

We do eat at TS restaurants every night, but usuaully alcohol is probably the mosty expensive part of the bill.

I am just wondering if it's something I should look into. Any suggestions?

DVC members staying on points are eligible for the dining plan beginning in April. Since you are renting from a DVC member, you should be eligible if your stay is April or later.

You do not have to buy tickets or be on a packege. The price is $37.99 per adult per night and $10.99 per child per night.

You have to add the plan through member services - I believe who you are renting from would have to add it. The plan is payable at check-in, so you do not have to pay any more to your renter.

Ok more ?...lol...

We are actually going in a week, so I guess it won't be applying for this trip. But is there a board that shows exactly what the DP consists of? For that $37.99 what exactly do you get? I assume also that it doesn't include alcohol.

Lastly, I don't need to buy park tickets right? I can have my AP, rent points etc, and still participate?

I have to say it sounds like a pretty good deal.
