DP without package

According to the website, it's not possible to purchase the DP without a package. I have a room through DVC points and an annual pass. Is there anyway I can still get the DP? And has this changed? I seem to remember checking into purchasing it a couple of years ago when in this same situation--DVC room and AP.

If you are renting your DVC points you can add the DP onto your DVC rental, but you have to let the person you are renting the points from know so they can add it to your reservation.

DVC is the only type of reservation that can have a dining plan without a package. Yep, if you're renting you have to have the member add it for you. If you're trading in, you can probably do it yourself through Member Services.

You can get the dining plan on any room only stay without a package...you just have to call it in. It's called a ticketless package and has to be for more than one night. It is not limited to DVC only.

Technically, it is still a "package" and it falls under all the package rules of deposits needed and cancellation penalities.

Ok, let me rephrase... I was arguing the point that it was DVC only....not that it wasn't a package (and therefore falling under package rather than room-only rules.) You can get the ticketless dining plan OPTION whether you're DVC, AP or not even going to the parks, as long as you're on-site and staying more than one night.
